i've been a fan since before it got popular, but i don't go around criticizing those who didn't hear about it before the movie or whatever. i really do get annoyed at those people. i think it's great that it has gotten so popular because then you have more people to talk with about it. plus, i think steph meyer deserves it being the amazing author that she is :)

Agreed=! It totally pisses me off when people go round boasting about it and critisizing others. It's ANNOYING!

I agree as well. I honestly don't mind it if they say it nicely, but when you see them getting upset that so many people are starting to like Twilight...well, that kind of offends me. It's like they're saying that just because they liked the books way before I did they are supposedly better fans. I first picked up Twilight in March 2008 and I have been a fan ever since. =]

It doesnt annoy me!! I´m not one of those people cause the book only came out in my country around June of 2008.
What really annoys me are people who only watched the movie and think they are fans...I´m ok with the fact that they only heard about it then, but is it too much to ask to, please, read the books? I mean, they are so much better than the movie, and i dont see myself knowing everything about Twilight that i know without the books!!! :)

^^yes i agree with mari_giovani. i think you should read the books to be a fan of the series, otherwise you're a fan of the movies. of course, you can be both. personally, i see the movie and the books series as two different things. it helps with dealing with the things they changed/cut out hahaha

I also hate when people make a big deal about talking negative about it when they know that a Twilight fan is in the room. For instance I went into my school library to ask the librarian to put me on the waiting list for Breaking Dawn and as soon as I mention Twilight these two girl start talking about how they thought Twilight and it's fans were so dumb.

it does get really annoying. I mean we're all fans. it doesen't matter when you became one. i also hate when people talk badly about twilight when they know that the people you're talking to are obsessed aswell. it gets especialy annoying when they haven't even read it.

jeffersonian and yay4twilight: that is exactly what i meant! it gets so annoying. and yay4twilight, i agree about the other side of it. the people who hate twilight just because it's popular annoy me as well. i'm not saying i hate twilight haters, i just think they should read it first, then they can bad mouth it all they want.
