When Eric silvercuffed himself to Russell Von daylight, wasn't Russell supposed to burn faster?

I mean, in season 2, Godric told Sookie before dying that, since he was old, he was going to burn very fast and he was right. But Russell, being like 1000 years older than Godric did not burn fast even if he was out Von daylight during a much longer time than Godric. I understand he drank Sookie's blood but isn't he supposed to burn faster than Eric (which didn't seem to be the case) even if Eric was out Von daylight before him (considering Eric is younger than him)?
