This may have started with some hardcore punk Zitate that only Trainspotting Fans will get – something like “Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact discs...” that would then strategically end up with “Choose great UK TV series. Choose Crime Von Irvine Welsh”, but that would feel utterly fake after having consciously endorsed the fucking big Fernsehen side of things.
