Toby Regbo: 5 Things You Didn't Know About The 'Reign' Actor

Toby Regbo currently stars as King Francis on The CW\'s "Reign." The 23-year-old actor, who many may know from "Treasure Island," "Mr. Nobody" and "Uwantme2killhim?", hails from London. Here are five facts to boost your knowledge about him. 

His interest in acting began with school plays and once he got older, he joined the Young Blood Theatre Company.

"I find it a very strange territory to maneuver" Regbo told Tribeca Film during an interview. "I\'m on Twitter, and a lot of people want to be followed. I find it a really amazing way to communicate, and also from my ego\'s perspective, an easy way to quantify how funny you are, when you get a numerical response to your jokes.

"I\'m of two minds about it. I like it, but I also don\'t like to reply to that much stuff, because you set a precedent for people wanting a reply from you. I think it\'s a great way to interact with people, but at the same time, there are much more soul-enriching and less detrimental ways to interact with other human beings."

3. He knew Sean Teale, the actor who portrays Condé, for years before they both appeared on "Reign."

Regbo told Access Hollywood, "Yeah, we\'ve known each other since we were 10 or something. We went to the same school, so we saw each other all the time. We did school plays together and stuff."

He has Norwegian on his father\'s side. His maternal grandfather was Italian.

"I was at the BFI London Film Festival, and this photo of me got put up online," Regbo told Interview magazine. "My father sent me a link to the article, which was from a website called something like hairandbeautycelebrities.com. It was analyzing my haircut. And it had been cut by my grandmother about 20 minutes before I got to the premiere."
