Flora tapped the blume to her nose.
This blume was a special one. A very special one. It was placed in a separate vase from the rest.
Each blume was a symbol of someone she’d lost.
Flora had five sisters at one point. After a horrible storm tore through their home, she was left with only one. Miele.
The others were now simply Blumen in a vase. A loving memory.
For Julia, Flora kept a bright yellow daisy. The girl was the eldest sibling, she was also the brightest of them and the cheeriest. For Katie she kept a rose; she was the Sekunde eldest. The beauty of the six. For Ladybelle—the fourth eldest (Flora had her beat Von a year)—Flora selected a bushel of bluebells. Simply because Ladybelle loved them so. And just a Jahr younger than Ladybelle was Lily. The obvious choice there was a Lily.
And for Helia—her sweet beloved Helia—Flora picked out a tulip.
She’d Lost him to Stormy. Fate was harsh. Very harsh.
Flora ran her fingers over the petals as a tear slipped down her cheek. It just wasn’t fair. Not at all.
That would be her last tear. She’d promised Helia that she wouldn’t cry for too long. She knew he wouldn’t want her to.
His last words… “smile on.”
And she would. She’d keep her chin up and her herz open to new love.
Flora gave the tulpe a soft KISS before propping it back in the crystal vase she’d removed it from. She moved the vase closer to its companion.
She kissed the tulpe again. “I’m going to be happy Helia.” She paused. “I promise.”
And it was true. Flora would go out; she’d find Bloom and Stella. And she would find Tecna, Musa, and Layla.
And they would have a great time in downtown Magix. Flora may not find a Liebe like Helia again, she didn’t want to…didn’t need to.
Because she knew that one Tag she’d be with him again. That she’d be with Julia, Katie, Ladybelle, and Lily again. And they would be happy.
They all would be happy.
Together.
Forever.
