Die Sims 3 Frage

Anybody else with a laptop having trouble Playing ?

Mine won't play, cause of my Video card isn't updated, but Du can't update video cards on laptops!
Anybody having the same problem,or have a solution?
Cause otherwise it's going to have to go back :(

The video card thing, i had this problem with the sims2 on my PC. It wouldn't play the newer expansion packs such as pets...this is because it was something to do with it bein a DVDrom and something with my video card.
I bought sims 3 on friday and it takes me ten-twenty mins to get it to recognise the disc, my laptop is brand new, ive had it a month! So i think there may just be a laptop/game problem :( Gameplay itself is great, its just the initial recognition of the disc. Also my resolution isnt good enough for the game, but if i change it my sims look squashed haha.!! I doubt ive helped but good luck!! Xx

Yes my sims 3 dose not work on my laptop so i used it on a different computer (not laptop) and then it worked !

I tried it on my parents computer, and it still didn't work, same message about a video card :( Thanks anyway! :)
