The Reformed Mephiles Frage

Has anyone else noticed how in Sonic 06, Mephiles' muzzle is kinda jaggered?

Probably due to an incompleate character model, but... Du know. Just wondering if it's really weird to be this observant. O.o

I see it now, in a game review with the creators, they sagte it's probably because if an incomplete character design, me thinks not, though.
