I want my family to be as close as the Cullens are!

I read the Twilight Saga and watch the Filme and one thing that always hits me is how close they are! I want my relationship with my family to be just like their's but I don't know how. I know that'll probably sound really sad to a lot of people but it's true. My mum always accuses me of living like a hermit - I literally spend all my time in my bedroom and I barely see my family - and I know she's right, that's what bothers me. It's become a habit with me and I've been living like this for far too long now. I hate it! Thing is, ive been putting up walls for so long, it's really hard for me to break them and get close to my family. I practically idolize the Cullens for how they can stick together through thick and thin, and never seem to have any problems with it. Twilight has changed me that way, it's made me think about my life and the mistakes I'm making with it. I've tried talking to my mum and dad about it, but to no avail - I just keep giving up and retreating to my room again. Can someone please help me? Any Guter Rat Du guys can give me would be greatly appreciated, even if it's only a very small amount. Words can't explain how much this situation is upsetting me. Please help!
