Superman 2 was originally directed Von Richard Donner, the director of Superman: The Movie. However, Richard Donner was fired for spending too much money and was replaced Von Richard Lester. Richard Lester directed the version of Superman 2 that was released to theaters. For decades, Richard Donner's version of the film wasn't available to the public. However, in 2006, his version of the film was released to DVD.

I will go over some of the biggest differences between the theatrical cut and the director's cut:

In the theatrical cut, Superman saves Lois Lane in Paris and gets rid of a bomb. The...

"MAN OF STEEL" (2013) Review

When I first learned that Warner Brothers Studios and D.C. Comics planned to release another Superman movie, I did not greet the news with any enthusiasm. In fact, my first reaction was sheer frustration. The last D.C. Comics movie I wanted to see was another Superman movie.

There were so many reasons for my negative reaction to the news of a new Superman movie. The last one I saw was 2006's "SUPERMAN RETURNS", which had been directed Von Bryan Singer. There had also been two Fernsehen series about the Man of Steel in the past twenty (20) years - "LOIS AND CLARK:...

Superman was created in 1938. Due to quickly becoming one of the most beliebt characters in the history of comics, Superman was adapted into various films. This Artikel is for looking over the Superman feature-length films. In addition to appearing in these films, Superman also appeared in a series of theatrical Cartoons in the 1940's. Also, George Reeves played Superman in a one-hour special called Superman and the maulwurf Men. The popularity of that theatrical special led to the Superman TV series. Also, there have been some theatrical films starring Superman's allies, including 1984's Supergirl...

Superman Returns is a film that came out in June of 2006. The film, which starred Brandon Routh as Superman, was meant to lead to, at the very least, one sequel. That ended up not happening. The film did get decent reviews from critics, but Fans have been teilt, split on it. While I can't say that the film is perfect, I can certainly say that it's a good film that's important to me.

Superman Returns might seem like a reboot of the Superman film franchise. The trailer even showed a few scenes of Clark Kent as a kid, which would give some people the impression that this film is an origin story. That...

With the New 52 far behind, I can look back on it with Mehr nuanced eyes and give my opinion. Here it goes...

While the decision to significantly modify Superman's status quo in the New 52 is not one I agree with, it is one I can understand. Superman had become such an iconic character not only to DC, but to modern culture, that it was a major challenge to write him as an emotionally compelling protagonist in a dramatic story. Von taking him out of his comfort zone, Superman could be portrayed as a Mehr fallible and human character and adapt to a world that may no longer see his ideals as relevant....

1987's Superman 4: The Quest for Peace is often considered to be the worst Superman film and one of the worst superhero films of all time. I highly disagree.

It can't be denied that Superman 4 has the most awkward editing and special effects of the Superman films. While those elements are distracting, they don't ruin the film. It should be noted that Superman 4 is Christopher Reeve's passion project. He wanted to make a Superman film that had a positive message. His film attempts to have Superman solve the problem of nuclear missiles. The interesting thing about the film is that although Superman...

I just got this book and I have readit three times inorder to be able to make a correct and serious review.

This is based on my opinion of the book and Superman in general.

The Story
It is a retelling of Clark's first time leaving Smallville and trying to create a life for himself in the big ciy of Metropolis.

It tells the story of Supermans origin without feeling old oder cliché

This story is exactly what I want a Superman cartoon oder movie to be like but since this was to "realistic" I don't think that will ever happen.

One thing I can complain about is how Clark finds out about his Alien heritage,...

The difference between cinema of this type of yesterday and today is one very important person -- Quentin Tarantino. Observe--

Before Tarantino, movie studios were always quick to disregard comics because of the plausibility issues. Screenplays were, in Hollywood, always considered to be superior to comic Bücher for that particular reason. Evidence of this is all over the original Superman and Batman movies. Superman III is the most glowing example of the way pre-Tarantino movie studios regarded comics because the stories are right there...but made with the aim of grounding it in as close to...
