star, sterne Trek - Enterprise Frage

Was Scott Bakula the right guy for the job?

I think he did a very good job as Jonathan Archer.
I can't think in any other actor for the role of the captain.

I think He was the Perfect choice. The way he played Archer, as the Captain of Humanity's first Warp-Five Ship(with the Engine his Father and Zefram Cochrane, who is considered to Father of Warp Drive and Impulse created), Expanding Human Knowledge of the Galaxy(Even though the Vulans kept trying to impede that), Saving Humanity from the Xindi, and Helping to Create the Federation was Great!!

Yes. Bakula did a fantastic job as Jonathan Archer. I've been a Trek Fan literally from the beginning and Archer was my Favorit captain. A good part of that was the way that Bakula played him. Archer's character was flawed in many ways at the start (and I think that was purposeful) and the person playing him had to start from there and Bewegen him though his learning curve as the first captain on an Earth deep Weltraum starship. Bakula played the role of a man who believed he was fully prepared for the mission and then finds that reality doesn't quite fit the dream...so the character had to deal with bringing the two together Von either molding the reality to the dream oder accepting that the dream couldn't quite be realized...so change one's expectation. He did that in spades. I don't know another actor who could have done that strength with vulnerability nearly as well.

I think Scott Bakula was right for the job. I think there was a problem, but I think it was with the Captain Archer character in general. I can't quite put my finger on exactly what the problem was, but somehow the character lacked the 'presence' and strength of the other star, sterne Trek captains. Archer always seemed angry, hostile and aggressive instead of in control, strong and assertive... that is the qualities of simply being in command.

As 'the most underrated and potentially the best' star, sterne Trek series in the set, Scott played his roll in both a classy and Monumental way. Not only did the crew exhibit a chemistry that proved near perfect from the very begining but Archers character was played so very very well Von Bakula right off the bat.
Every captain in the star, sterne Trek series was played Von great actors but somehow Archers charachter had a dynamic that no other required, and that was making Decisions Based on human passion and the need to just do what's right rather than follow a prime directive that would guide the human interactions as they traveled the universe. The shows whole evolutionary, process was amazing, and Bakula played every Zeigen flawlessly. A four Jahr run was just way too short and the ongoing potential of its story lines was sadly under utilized. (although those four years were nothing short of epic in terms of role development and the shows evolutionary plot development.
Sadly we will likely never see this crew again in their roles but I for one watch each episode in absolute awe as it becomes clear that it's somewhat short run was unjustified and poorly rationalized. The whole series from start to finish had an element unlike any before it and Scott Bakula with his supporting cast could not have done their jobs any better. Future star, sterne trek shows need only look to this series for how to give a tv sci fi series all the qualities required in order to be everything a star, sterne trek series needs in today's entertainment industry! Kudos to SB!

I think everyone one cast for their roles were spot on & perfect.
Scott Bakula is an incredible performer & plays his part as it should be. His self control, analytical & factual decision making adds the right amount of no nonsense & professionalism for the role.
Every person on the crew was a perfect match for each position.
This Zeigen rivals the original TV series in quality & story as well as strong, well defined characters. All of the other series do not match the quality of cast & story like star, sterne Trek Enterprise achieves.
It was foolish of the network to Abbrechen it after season 4.
