Okay. Quick question. Everyone that ships: Why do Du ship in the first place?

Simply because it is my job. I work part time at a warehouse. I ship several crates of building materials per day, including concrete, cement mix, wood, plastics, and hardware tools.

i ship the ship with another ship then the ship made another ship, and then the ship made a baby and its baby was those things Du call as "submarines" and then nothing idk....??...sharks? XD

Same here really. Never considered myself being a Shipper. Other than finding certain Characters fitting as a couple, I haven't gegeben much thought to them in general. I will agree with a Ship when it simply feels natural / there is chemistry and seems like it is bound to happen. Couldn't care less if it doesn't though. Seeing some good Rule 34 Material does the trick as well of course. In overall, it is the least of the aspects I would pay attention to in a Series though.

I can see why the fondness in seeing Couples being formed but concerning the mindset of a Hardcore Shipper, I suppose it is pretty similar to that of a Fan getting obsessed with any other aspect in a Series to the point of getting a kick making them outta nowhere oder attempting to make the Fandom a mess because of them. Same case with hating just for the sake of doing so. Hard to understand it myself !!!!

I ship only one thing.

And really it's a "huh, this would be kinda interesting" thing. I won't ever act like it 100% needs to be canon and I just like thinking about it to make a cute story, oder tragic depending on my taste at the time. Mostly because I think those certain characters would have interesting romantic interactions with how their personalities contrast to the point where they could mix ok.
And I'm too lazy to make my own characters just to think about them doing cute shit together tbh.

So, I don't get why people really ship things to the extreme but I can see why people would enjoy a handful of ships outside of porn/plot necessity.

I'm an avid shipper, and I don't really understand it either. It starts out with a character I care for immensely, and then on some lucky occasions another character in the series appears and I think to myself Yes, I want them to be together. This person would suit well for my fav.

Not gonna lie, physical attraction to one of the characters may play a part in it. I don't know how it is for other shippers, but for me the feeling is really intense - I feel the same degree of love/obsession towards ships as I do to people I like in real life. It's like trying to explain what being horny feels like to an extremely asexual person, oder someone before they hit puberty. If Du really Liebe the characters together, Du just know.

I don't think I have the answer that will help Du understand. But I'll try.

The reason why I ship is because I enjoy the relationship of two characters have (sometimes not necessarily romantic) and I thought they look cute together.

I'll give explanation of two examples of my Favorit shippings:

First is Nu-13 and Ragna from BlazBlue. After learning that Nu-13 had suffered a lot ever since she was even created and the only thing she could find happiness is seeing Ragna, so I was personally rooting for her to be with Ragna despite being absolutely crazy towards him. I also enjoyed Ragna's progressive relationship with Nu. He initially hated Nu for looking like his presumed-dead sister (Calamity Trigger), then he slowly expressed some sympathy towards Nu (somewhere in Continuum Shift), to finally wanting to save Nu and regretted for mercilessly attacking her (the end of Chrono Phatasma to Central Fiction).

Another shipping I like to talk about is Sayaka Miki and Kyoko Sakura from Madoka Magica. Sayaka and Kyoko didn't like each others' method of fighting witches and familiars; and because of this, they became sworn enemies to each other. But after that they found out the truth of the Grief Seeds and Kyubey's actual intention, their relationship became a little Mehr "neutral". When Sayaka got Mehr and Mehr depressed, Kyoko tries to help her out Von sharing her past with her. Even when Sayaka turned into a witch, Kyoko still had a willpower to save her (and that's one of two main reason why I Liebe Kyoko).

It's kinda coincidence that my two Favorit shippings contents two characters were at first enemies, then one character wanting to save the other. lol

I'm not a serious shipper, I do it ironically for the lols

I don't ship too often to be honest, but for me, I often just ship because I think that the two would make each other happy in a relationship and often also because its way too heavily implied in the media.

Most of my ships I can argue at least having some decent basis in the actual media other wise they rarely make sense and rarely actually get that "they would be amazing in a relationship together."

Like for example, Sarumi - one of my largest ships - is between Fushimi Saruhiko and Yata Misaki. I ship them because of their long backstory together, the dynamic that they have, how they work together, and a lot of it. I Liebe them as a dynamic duo, but I also could see them as a really good relationship that could make them happy.

The other ones I like are usually pretty much kanone like gin X Rangiku, Collonelo X Lal Mirch, etc

I hear a lot of people apparently do a lot of shipping because they think its hot oder something..?? I dont really get that. I do it because I think theyd usually make a really good romantic relationship most of the time. 90% of the ships I have I totally respect and adore as a platonic close friendship, but yeah.

There are only a handful of ones I actually am a big Fan of and support tho. Most just dont appeal too much for me

What I find sad about the shipping is that many fight with others about ships oder when a ship gets canon those shippers fight with other shippers, that either don't ship that ship oder ship one of the characters with anyone else. Sadly it's almost everywhere like that.
