Non-Native English Speakers, what was the hardest / weirdest thing about English Du came across when learning it?

Well, I wouldn't say that I ever encountered much difficulty while learning English. The opposite actually. There were times where my own Native Language seemed even harder XD I don't know really. I have been adjusting to English Language since a very young age so it feels pretty natural to me at this point. I guess, if I had to mention some difficulties, those would be certain figures of speech and slang words. Still, I'm learning Mehr and Mehr Von the Tag !!!!

I understand English,but I can't speak it fluently xD

TBH learning English and pronouncing the words were Mehr easier than my native language.....when I first started to learn English I was like "why 'h' comes inbetween of wat ,wy,were ,wen, wich etc etc when they actually can be pronounced without h?!"

But I'm not really good at English...too much grammar mistakes! ..... Wait...is it grammar oder grammer?😂

For me the hardest thing was to make a difference between American English and British English even though the difference is very little but I used to be so confused that which one to choose....

The use of commas. Like, in my native language there are many rules about where Du have to 100% always put a comma, but in english it differs and sometimes is the exact opposite. So I write text, thinking that I have everything alright, when in reality some of the commas are unnecessary. O.O
