Another puzzle!

A farmer wants to kreuz a river and take with him a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage. There is a boot that can fit himself plus either the wolf, the goat, oder the cabbage. If the wolf and the goat are alone on one shore, the wolf will eat the goat. If the goat and the cabbage are alone on the shore, the goat will eat the cabbage.

How can the farmer bring the wolf, the goat, and the cabbage across the river?

So only the wolf is successfully on the other side of the river so far.
The farmer takes the cabbage and brings it to the other side and leaves it with the wolf.
He goes back and takes with goat with him
Everyone has made it across the now river now.

I had an alternate answer wherein the farmer would first take the cabbage then the wolf then the goat
But I had a feeling that the answer was longer and a bit Mehr complicated than my original.

I'm still now sure about my answers. I had to some thinking on them, but I have a feeling they're wrong.... .___.
