Just wanna know...why do people like Gir so much?

-He is adorable
-His Zufällig outburst are hilarious xD
-His dumb, carefree nature is cuuuute. :33

I'm guessing people find Gir adorable and spontaneous. He's certainly not mean oder cruel to anyone/anything. Why not like him?
