Of course! In black and white movies, people showed Mehr expression while Schauspielen and the plots surely were Mehr interesting than all those boring and repetitive plots there are nowadays.
Yes, of course! Not only does black and white allow Mehr interesting and unique cinematography (hello, expressionism!), what with the shadows and the interplay of light and dark, Filme were just made better back then. Actors had talent instead of just being pretty faces, writers were Mehr creative because they had to work around production codes (even though I HATE the Hayes Production Code, it did make the Schreiben in Filme much Mehr subtle because the writers had to make everything oblique) and great directors made many great Filme per year. Yes, there are a lot of really bad B&W movies, just as there are a lot of really bad color movies, but I've always had a soft spot in my herz for B&W. It's so much Mehr mysterious and intriguing than color, just as the night is than the day!
