During my Suchen for Pride and Prejudice sequels, I have managed to come across many websites that offer P&P fanfiction. I thought I would post my findings here for all to enjoy. The stories on these sites range anywhere from one oder two stories to hundreds of stories, so browse at your leisure.

The only site that I have completely and thoroughly enjoyed thus far is the Bits of Ivory site (listed below), so most of the other sites I don’t have much information to relay regarding content, though I will perform cursory inspections of each site to provide necessary details to its content for...

"PRIDE AND PREJUDICE" (1980) Review

As many Fans of Jane Austen must know, there have been several screen and Fernsehen adaptations of the author’s most celebrated novel, "Pride and Prejudice", published in 1813. I usually come across at least five of those versions – including the six-part BBC adaptation that aired in the U.S. in 1980. The miniseries was adapted Von Fay Weldon and directed Von Cyril Coke.

Only someone unfamiliar with Austen’s story would not know that "PRIDE AND PREJUDICE" told the story of Elizabeth Bennet, the second-born daughter of an English gentleman and landowner...

"PRIDE AND PREJUDICE" (1995) Review

There have been numerous adaptations of Jane Austen’s celebrated 1813 novel, "Pride and Prejudice" over the past decades. Two of these versions happened to be BBC miniseries that aired in 1980 and 1995. It has been a long time since I have viewed the 1980 miniseries. However, I recently saw the 1995 miniseries for the umpteenth time and decided to finally write a review of it. Adapted Von screenwriter Andrew Davies, the miniseries was produced Von Sue Birtwistle and directed Von Simon Langton.

Austen’s story centered around one Elizabeth Bennet, the second...

We've seen every version of PandP, we've read the book countless times, and we all have a secret crush (or not so secret) on this 18th century male. Why can't we get enough?...

Mr. Darcy is not only a charecter in Pride and Prejudice but he is a true lead in the book. He is a mysterious, intriguing charecter that seems to truly hit Home in our hearts even Mehr than we can explain. But how? I've come up with a good Liste of reasons why we can't get enough of this awesome hero.

1. He's rich (slightly self-centered, but hey, it adds to the image)

2. He is described as handsome. (Enough sagte :)

3. Since...

"PRIDE AND PREJUDICE" (1940) Review

There have been at least eight adaptations of "Pride and Prejudice", Jane Austen's 1813 novel. But as far as I know, only four are well known oder constantly mentioned Von many of the novelist's present-day fans. And one of the four happens to be the movie adapted in 1940 Von Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

Directed Von Robert Z. Leonard, "PRIDE AND PREJUDICE" told the story of the five unmarried daughters of a 19th century English landowner and the efforts of his shrill wife to get them married before his estate is inherited Von a distant male cousin. For years, this version...

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."—Chapter 1, P&P

Don’t judge a book Von it’s cover…its Titel may give the readers a different connotation of what this book is really about. It may give the readers an idea of discrimination, fury, preconception oder judgment, but on the contrary Pride and Prejudice is simply just the greatest Liebe story of all time.

Pride and Prejudice, written Von Jane Austen, revolves around the courtship and marriage among the noble in the 19th century. Its main characters are the...

"LOST IN AUSTEN" (2008) Review

I must admit that I am usually not a Fan of novels oder any other forms of storytelling that are based upon oder continuations of published works of the origin author. This is certainly the case for the numerous works (sans two) based upon Jane Austen's six published novels.

The 2008 miniseries, "LOST IN AUSTEN" is not based upon any particular Austen novel that was not written Von the Georgian Era writer. Instead, it is the brainchild of screenwriter Guy Andrews. The latter created this fantasy-comedy, which is an adaptation of Austen's novel, "Pride and Prejudice"...

from the Huffington Post:

I've published twenty Bücher in genres from memoir to mystery but I never thought of doing an Austen mashup until I read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

While I enjoyed Zombies at first because it was surprising and funny, eventually it started to feel like a one-note protest against all the decorous PBS Austen series and all the die-hard Austen Fans around the world. Dude, forget carriages and bonnets, gimme brains!

Zombies reads like graffiti, which can be ugly oder beautiful depending on your point of view. Du see that teilt, split on amazon.com, where half the reviewers give...

"PRIDE AND PREJUDICE" (2005) Review

To my knowledge, there have been at least ten screen (film and/or television) adaptations of Jane Austen's 1813 novel, "Pride and Prejudice". I believe it has been adapted Mehr times than her other five novels. This is not surprising. It is probably the most beloved of her six novels. I have seen four of those adaptations, myself. And one of them is director-writer Joe Wright's 2005 film adaptation.

"PRIDE AND PREJUDICE" starred Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen as Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy. The story focuses on Elizabeth's dealings with marriage,...

IF Du Liebe PRIDE AND PREJUDICE-- you'll Liebe this new book. Its called 'Edenbrooke' Von Julianne Donaldson. It is a must read. Check it out. I actually thought it was better than Pride and prejudice (hard to fathom).
It is similar to P a P (Pride and Prejudice) in all ways. It is a herz pounding romance with lots of twists and turns. Edenbrooke is now my all time Favorit books! I couldn't for the life of me set it down.
Du MUST READ THIS!!! If Du Liebe PaP then Du will ADORE Edenbrooke. It is a relatively fast read. I have read it twice the past week. It is THAT good.
SOCIAL CLASS AND THE BENNET FAMILY IN "PRIDE AND PREJUDICE"

Considering how long I have been a Fan of Jane Austen’s 1813 novel, "PRIDE AND PREJUDICE" and its numerous Fernsehen and movie adaptations, I am surprised that I have never considered something about its heroine, Elizabeth Bennet, and her family. Ever since I have been Lesen numerous Artikel about the novel and its adaptations, I have noticed that many have labeled the Bennet family as members of the middle-class oder the upper middle-class in Regency England. And it finally occurred to me that many of these Fans were in error.

When I first heard that a new Pride and Prejudice film was in the works, I was both apprehensive and excited. I had seen every single film adaptation made of my Favorit Jane Austen book and considered the A&E version starring Colin Firth as Mr Darcy and Jennifer Ehle as Elizabeth Bennett the end-all. As a miniseries, it was able to closely follow the book and not omit any of the wonderful parts that made the novel a classic. With a movie made for the big screen, important plot twists and scenes would have to be removed to fit in the allotted time. It was with slight trepidation that I...
