Okay, so let me clear something up, I like Percabeth- I really do! I also know not all Percabeth Fans are like what I'm describing- but what I'm saying is the majority of the ones I've seen are. It's gotten extremely annoying, and I really needed to get my anger out on this topic, so sorry if this offends you, which it shouldn't. But if Du easily get offended on this topic, please leave, oder at least be respectful about it.

Okay, first of all, it's one of my biggest issues, but a lot of Percabeth are ridiculously over the top. Like, if someone even so much as claim they ship Percy and Annabeth with someone else, they are murderous. Particularly with Perachel, they hate on whoever ships Perachel, and even hate on Rachel, herself, just because she had feelings for Percy at one point. Now, I don't ship Rachel with Percy, and the whole Liebe dreieck thing gave me a headache, but I don't think Rachel deserves the hate just for having feelings for Percy, as well as I think people can ship whoever the hell they want. To be fair, I thought Rachel and Annabeth were both annoying fighting over Percy, but that's my opinion. But I've heard people threaten Perachel shippers, and even go as far as telling them to kill themselves. Because "Percy belongs to Annabeth."




I'm sorry? But Percy is nobody's property. Okay, Percabeth is cute, I'll admit (aside from all the shippers), but I'm so sick of Percy being talked about like he's Annabeth's property. Also Annabeth, being called Percy's property. I am a multishipper and ship both Percabeth and Lukebeth, and I have even been a victim to these threatening comments, because apparently, I'm only allowed to ship Percabeth.

But it's Mehr than just people shipping whoever they want, because I have that issue with most fandoms. It's also the fact that they are obsessed- which is fine, but they expect everybody and everything in the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus fandom to be about Percabeth, and they get pissed when it isn't "Percabeth" enough. I've read fanfiction about other individual characters- like Leo, Nico, Thalia etc, fanfictions where romance in anyway doesn't fit, yet Percabeth shippers complain about there not being any Percabeth.

Not to mention, they request some pretty stupid things. Before the HoO ended, a Fan legitimately asked Rick Riordan to include a moment where Percy proposes to Annabeth. What? They're like seventeen! That was actually Rick Riordan's response! I mean, I like Percabeth as much as the Weiter person, but not every damn thing has to be about Percabeth.

I guess what bothers me, and not as much as other reasons stated before, is the fanfiction, surrounding Percabeth. To be honest I haven't many good[/i] Percabeth fics. There are a few, but not many. Why? Because Fans will completely change Percy and Annabeth's personalities, to make it seem "cute", and they literally turn it into a sappy romantic couple. Of course, they make Rachel out to be a bitch, because Rachel, because Rachel is just this horrible person, and apparently was not allowed to have feelings for him before he got with Annabeth. They also make Annabeth into this mushy, girly and romantic person. I don't mind those type of characters, but that's not Annabeth! Then they give Percy this fuckboyish personality. At least that's the way I would explain it personally.

Honestly, I liked Percy and Annabeth's relationship in the books, because it was typical but real. I liked Annabeth teasing Percy, I liked their brains-and-brawn relationship. THAT was cute. I'm sorry, the relationship these Fans are trying to potray Percabeth as is cute, but just doesn't work with these two.


But again, it bothers me less because everyone interprets things differently.

I'm sick of how Percabeth shippers act in general. The Rachel-Percy-Annabeth was solved, and in a smart way too. Even so, this is a peace of fiction, and people are entitled to interpret it however they want. If people don't ship Percabeth, and ship a non-canon ship, they can and they are not entitled to Liebe Percabeth, just because it's canon. They also do not have to Liebe the ship a certain amount. It's fine to be obsessed with a ship, just not obsessed to the point of a lot of these shippers.

Again, sorry if I offended anyone, but I really needed to get this off my chest. I would Liebe to hear your thoughts, but please be respectful.
