Rico climbed up the sitz and luggage, that was in his way to the brief false comfort of land. Kowalski wasn't far behind him. For them at that moment it was every pinguin for himself. Skipper soon made his way out, not realizing that one of his men was still in the death trap.
A frightened voice called out from the descending car. It was Skipper's worst nightmare. "Help, Skippah, don't let me fall!" Private yelped helplessly from the backseat, holding his lunacorn with his foot jammed and stuck under the crushing weight of all the luggage. "I'm stuck!" He cried.
Skipper lunged at the back of the car and extended his flipper as far as the socket would allow it. He still reached and reached with all his strength. With his free flipper, Private reached, but his flipper only barely touched the tip of Skipper's and slipped.
Just then the car broke loose and began plummeting. "No!" Private screamed. "Jump, Private! I'll catch you, I promise! I won't let Du fall!" Skipper cried out, tears dripping down his cheeks. Private closed his eyes.......
Releasing his lunacorn, Private jumped up, to meet Skipper's flippers wrapped around him tightly, pulling him to safety.
"I told Du to turn left!" Kowalski shot back at Rico. "That sign was set up for us to go off the edge! He couldn't help it!" Skipper argued. "Of course, Du would side with your favorite, Skipper!" Kowalski muttered. "What?!" Skipper exclaimed irrately. "Hey!" Rico chimed in offenedly. "Be quiet! All of you!" Private commanded at the oben, nach oben of his lungs. It must have worked because everyone stared at him silently and shocked. "We just survived a disaster that could have claimed us all. I noticed we have been fighting Mehr recently, but I thought we could set aside our differences now, especially! If we can't even act like a team right now, what kind of team are we? All of you, only seemed to care about yourselves getting out first! That's not the team I know, so instead of going for eachother's throats, we should be grateful for all of our lives. Sure, we Lost a bit of our stuff, but we have the most important thing." Private lectured.
"Nope, the coffee maker fell." Skipper groaned not sounding not amused at all. "That's not it at all!" Private responded. "Kablamo?" Rico asked. "No!" Private shouted. "My 'flipperprint-detector-3000'?" Kowalski asked hesitantly. "What is the matter with us?" Private sighed. "We can live without those things. In fact, we'd probably be better off without them, but we can't survive without eachother! We're brothers!"
His long speech touched all of his brothers' hearts. "Alright, boys, we've got a long journey ahead of us. Let's go!" Skipper sagte proudly. "Good job, Private." He whispered.
On both sides of the fatal route, was a thicket. "Slow and steady, gentlemen." The leader cautioned, leading them through the woodland. Private stayed right at Skipper's side, clenching his right flipper. His weary eyes searched each inch of the forest and every noise, great and small, made him jump, even the sound of his own and his team's breathing.
"Stop clinging to me, Private! I need some space." Skipper complained. "Aye, aye, Skipper," Private sagte backing off his irked leader. Suddenly an eerie breeze blew, but soon the gust began to turn Mehr unruly. A harsh unfamiliar breathing on Private's back made all the feathers on the back of his neck to stand up. He held in a scream, but Lost it and rushed to Skipper, who turned around with the rest of the team, puzzledly. In a mad dash he induced Skipper to trip a few steps forward, which caused his foot to get snagged in a rope trap. Private began frantically pacing and screeching. "Oh no, what are we going to do?! It's a hunter's trap! We're probably going to get shot, and then eaten, and ....... and stuffed oder mounted on a wall! I don't want to be a rug oder coat, Kowalski!" Private whimpered. Skipper reached down and slapped Private. "Boys, I've been thinking and I decided Du all should leave me here." Skipper sighed honestly. "No, Skipper!" Rico cried. "No matter what happens. We'll be right here with you, Skipper." Kowalski boldly answered. Skipper's face portrayed a half smile controlled Von a sense of fatherly worry and pride. "I'm proud of your courage, boys." Skipper sagte touched Von their fidelity.
Footsteps stomped toward them from behind. Sekunden later something began rattling in the bushes like a piece of paper. They all stepped in front of Skipper, ready to fight to the death.
A slender and well-groomed penguin, much Mehr fancier than the pinguin before, stepped out. "What are Du doing in these woods?! Oh ..... we've been waiting for your arrival. My mansion is back there." He said. "Who are Du and who are these traps for?" Skipper asked suspiciously. The pinguin laughed, and slid a sword out of his belt. Private gasped and Skipper flinched, as the pinguin rolled his eyes, and sliced the rope. The flatheaded pinguin toppled on his head with a THUD. "Terribly sorry about the rude welcoming, chums. I'm Timothy Williams, the owner of the mansion ....... almost owner anyway. My father and I used to hunt in this thicket. I suppose these old traps haven't Lost their trick." He reminisced. "Wait did Du say Du both hunted? But don't all penguins have a ...... certain fisch diet?" Kowalski asked fascinated, but as puzzled as the rest of the team. "Well, when Du own this much isolated land, Du can do whatever Du want. Most of the game we sell as pelts oder trophies." He explained. Private shivered and took a step behind Kowalski. "The house is that way." He said. They all turned to find a long and winding road. But Von the time they were going to thank him for his assistance, he had already left.
