What do Du think ever happened to the white wolf from "Heart Is a Lonely Hunter?"

I always wondered why after that episode, we never see it again. I know Graham died in that episode but I'd kinda like to know what happened to the wolf. Did it go back in the wild oder something? He was obviously a special wolf though. Old friend of Red Riding Hood's?
