Once Upon a Time - Es war einmal... Frage

Does anyone else think that the heart-crushing deaths are inconsistent?

Daniel died almost instantly after having his herz ripped out. However, I will state that it was probably because Cora crushed the herz almost immediately. After Milah's herz was torn out, she felt to the ground and was clearly dying even before Rumple crushed the heart. Old Henry died immediately after the removal of his herz even though it was still in one piece! Graham on the other hand managed to live for twenty-eight plus years without his heart...and he probably would have lived for much longer if Regina hadn't crushed it.

Has anyone else noticed this inconsistency between those Du have died from having their hearts ripped out/crushed?

maybe it depends on how they do it. maybe there's a certain way they take out the heart. maybe in graham's case, regina cursed the herz to make it so that he still lives without it and will only die when its crushed. thats just my theory

I think the initial reaction is supposed to be due to shock and physical pain, and possibly also fear because they're guessing that their herz is about to be crushed. If they're gegeben enough time before the herz is then crushed, they recover. If the herz is crushed quite quickly after removal, this initial reaction morphs into the actual death. If it isn't, they can recover.
