What would General Li (Shang's father) have thought of Mulan?

If General Li (Shang's father) had not perished in the battle against the Huns, what would he have thought about Mulan? Would he have forgiven her for cross-dressing to Mitmachen the army? Would he have supported his son's relationship with Mulan?

I think that he would have reacted similarly to Mulan being a girl dressed as a boy in the army, but taken a bit longer to get over it. He wouldn't have helped Mulan at the end, like Shang did, but after the she saved the emperor, he would have been fine. Or..... He would have hated it all the way through and completely disgraced his son for having a relationship with Mulan.
