I remember visiting this website once...
It was called The Best Upcoming Animated Filme of 2015
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
There are lots of upcoming animated movies in 2015 and it can be hard to choose which to go see. Which choices are going to be great for just the little one’s and won’t upset them or scare them too much, versus which films the whole family can go see and enjoy together?
Here is a list of ten of the best new animated movies due out in 2015. And don’t worry about missing them as they are listed in order of cinema air date, so all you have to do is bookmark this page and add the movies you are most interested in to your calendar to make sure you and the little ones can go together!
Also, there will be some from this selection with which you will be familiar, as they are likely to be sequels that could be as good as the original movie or more. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
And be sure to vote for your favorite from this list and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Who would have thought a cartoon based on a farm and a few farm animals would become such a hit! In my house it’s not just kids that love Shaun it’s the parents, elder siblings and even my Grandmother has the DVD. At Christmas time, you can’t go wrong with a Shaun the Sheep toy or Calendar.
So when I heard they were making the TV show into a movie I was super excited and I can’t wait to see what Shaun and the gang get up to away from the farm.
Ever seen Sheep trying to stay undercover in a big city? Neither have I but that’s what they have to do in the movie and I’m betting it’s going to be as hilarious as always!
Look out for your favorite underwater character leaving the sea to find a recipe stolen by a pirate.
Weird plot you might think but it’s SpongeBob SquarePants, so what else can you expect.
This is probably better suited to younger audiences, even though you will probably recognize the voice of Antonio Banderas, among others.
Expect to see the main character leaving the ocean floor and coming to the world of humans, just like the Smurfs are known for doing.
You can check out the Sponge Out of Water trailer for more details.

With a title like Home, this movie is exceptionally misleading in some ways. Most audiences would probably anticipate some kind of safe, quiet move about kids playing in and around the house, but that would probably be pretty boring!
Instead, Home is a DreamWorks Animation project about purple aliens and the need for one little girl to save the world. The Boov have decided that Earth would be perfect for them and round up all the people and relocate them. However a young girl called Tip, voiced by Rhianna, manages to escape their clutches and teams up with an unlikely adversary in the form of Oh, voiced by Jim Parsons who most people will recognize this character instantly as the alien has many of the same characteristics as Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang.
Oh has been banished by his race, as he’s always causing problems. This unlikely pair will have to work together to fix everything, while having an adventure along the way of course!
Look out for other recognizable voices such as Jennifer Lopez and Steve Martin.
This looks to be an animated comedy that could be fun for the whole family. I anticipate that there will be gags that the kids will get, but also some that might be above their heads but perfect for adults.

Here’s another animated selection for 2015 from DreamWorks Animation in the form of B.O.O. If you guessed from the name that it’s about ghosts you’d be on the money!
B.O.O. is a super secret agency that we’re not supposed to know about as it’s their job to protect us from evil spirits. The twist in the story is that these protectors are also ghosts!
There’s not much more information available yet but will be as we get closer to the summer of 2015. However, we do know that we can look forward to the voices of Matt Bomer, Bill Murray, Seth Rogan and Melissa McCarthy.
Sounds like this will be a family friendly movie and with that cast line-up, I’d expect a lot of laughs.

So although Pixar didn’t have a single movie release last year, they have decided to plunge back into the movie business with two animated movies in 2015. The first being Inside Out.
Pixar probably could have gone with something safer, such as a sequel to an already popular storyline, but have decided to bring a project forward and will be hoping audiences like this tale as much as we have liked their other creations.
This is fairly different for an animation project in that a lot of the film is going to happen inside the mind of a young girl. Luckily it’s a fairly happy place that we are being taken to but Riley does have a number of emotions that the audience will get to meet. These range from Joy, Disgust, Fear, Anger and Sadness and each are represented by a character.
I have the feeling this movie will have some kind of hidden message in there somewhere, as the main character Riley has just moved towns and is having to deal with a completely new city, new school with new classmates, and of course a new house.
How will she get on? I’m hoping it will all work out for her, but with Mindy Kaling, Amy Poehler, and Bill Hader in your head, it’s not always gonna be easy!
Could this be the best 2015 animated movie? Make your thought known in the comments below.

They are back! Our favorite little yellow guys are going to stop the villains in 2015 again!
It looks like the movie will be going back in time to the 60’s, so probably before the girls then… but not before the time of the Minions.
Instead, the Minion’s don’t have a master yet and are searching for someone to serve. When they send three Minions out to find a new master they discover Scarlett Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock) who’s goal is to become the world’s first female super-villain.
However, she’ll have competition to win over the Minions from the likes of her adversary Sumo Villain (voiced by Hiroyuki Sanada) and Herb Overkill (voiced by Jon Hamm).
I anticipate this film will be perfect for young kids, as well as teens, adults and pretty much the whole family. I remember being in tears of laughter watching the previous two films, so I look forward to this one!
I think this could be the most popular animation movie of 2015.
You can check out the really funny trailer for Minions and get a really good idea of the upcoming laughs this movie has to offer.

Adam Sandler returns in September as our favorite Dracula with his daughter Mavis, played by Selena Gomez.
Hotel Transylvania was really funny and I’m sure they will continue with the same sort of humor and gags.
Although there isn’t a trailer out for it yet, I’ve heard rumors that Mavis finally gets her way and they all leave the hotel to go on a trip. Supposedly they go to Japan, so will probably be really funny watching ghouls, vampires and other supposedly creepy and scary characters trying to fit in and pretend to be like other humans.

Remember Charlie Brown ad his best friend Snoopy? Do you love the Christmas Specials when you get to see the awesome Peanuts comic strip again?
Well if that’s you then you’ll love that Snoopy and Co are coming back to the big screen!
Bluesky Studios are bringing your favorite character animations to life before our eyes for the first time in 3D and you’ll even be able to see Snoopy’s hair moving!
What’s it going to be about? No plot details have leaked yet, but I am pretty sure this movie release is going to be relying on the fond memories that parents and grandparents have of these lovable characters.
Here’s the first official trailer that’s been released and you can check out what Snoopy’s up to now!

Who makes the best animated movies with laughs for all the family? Many would argue that would be Pixar, hands down.
The Good Dinosaur is their second 2015 animated movie and is due for release around Thanksgiving time.
I’m hoping this movie about a really tall dinosaur called Arlo will turn out to be really decent, however it was supposed to be released in 2014 but was pushed back. Also the graphics and images I have seen for the movie so far don’t really scream Pixar to me.
The more I find out about this movie the more it makes me think of The Croods, but possibly not as good as I can’t see a 70 foot dinosaur being as cute and as cuddly as Belt.
I’m still adding this to the top 10 animated movies of 2015 list as I am really hoping that I am wrong and that it turns out to be really good. Hopefully the voices of Judy Greer, Neil Patrick Harris and John Lithgow will be able to raise this movie and give us something to laugh about.

After the success of Kung Fu Panda and the sequel it’s no surprise that DreamWorks Animation have been working on the most recent addition to this animated movie franchise. No doubt, this will be the most heavily advertized animated movie in 2015 and everyone will be excited to welcome back their favorite characters and the voices of Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogan and so on.
You are probably wondering what it’s going to be about this time round, but there was a little clue left at the end of the second movie in that Po found out his parents could still be alive!
And it looks like this could be the direction the movie takes as Bryan Cranston, who played Walter Whitman in Breaking Bad, has been cast to voice Po’s father.
Looks like 2015 could be a great year for animated movies.
It’s a real shame that this movie keeps being pushed back as it’s one I’ve been dying to see!
I’ve added some other choices below of cartoon movies that you can choose to go and see at the cinema in 2015, or wait until they are available on DVD.
Strange Magic – From the mind of George Lucas comes an animated musical featuring a dark world where the inhabitants are either Magical or Mysterious. It’s probably not going to be a good idea for little tots as it’s a fairly dark movie, but looks like it will have a lot of gags and actually reminds me a lot of Shrek. I guess the question is how much do you enjoy musicals? Also stars Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming from January 23rd, 2015.
