in character and background, which, in your opinion, is the better character: Captain America oder Thor?

My friend and I are having a Debatte and we decided that in the name of diplomacy, we'd take it to the public. XD

Thor is a Mehr developed character kappe is just a really buff guy who wanted to be strong to protect his country. That's how he started and much hasn't changed for him in the past 3 decades. Thor however has Mehr of a backstory and Du can connect with him through his struggles with his family and other things. kappe is just this ideal patriotic American that hardly anyone can hope to be. I mean none of us can be a god like Thor either but his backstory makes him Mehr human in a way so....Thor is the better character.
