Is it okay to KISS someone on the first datum if it would be their first kiss?

I just went on a movie datum with a guy I really like, when he was dropping me off, I had the perfect time to KISS him and I didn't. But if I did KISS him it would have been both of our first kiss. Should I have kissed him? Oh Von the way, we're 11.
