IOI\'s Jung Chae Yeon speaks up about her decision to re-join DIA

Jung Chae Yeon uploaded on Instagram a personal letter to all her fans regarding her decision to re-join DIA. YMC Entertainment has confirmed that Chae Yeon will simultaneously carry out out her promotions under DIA and IOI.

Chae Yeon communicated to fans about this big decision on her Instagram, writing a letter that relayed her determination to do her best in both DIA and IOI. 

She wrote, "Hello. This is Chae Yeon. You were probably shocked to find out that I have joined DIA again. I worried over how I should communicate the way I feel to you all without any misunderstandings. First, I wanted to personally tell you [about re-joining DIA] but because I couldn\'t, I just feel regretful and sorry. Because I was a part of the program, debuted as a member of IOI, and received so much love from my fans, I wanted to be sure to be the first one to tell you this news; I wanted to promise you all that I will not neglect IOI promotions. As much as you all love me, I will try to be someone who tries even harder as a member of IOI. Every moment that I get to stand in front of you is always so precious to me. That is why I will continue to give it my all so that I won\'t hurt or disappoint you. I will always be a Chae Yeon who tries her best. Thank you."

Dia is an existing group that\'s in the red currently and needs to continue promotion to gain new fans  and become relevant.  They need her to help especially.  I don\'t see much problem with her decision to promote both.  It\'s not against her term with IOI.    Why not promote when awareness is at their highest?  It\'s a business after all.   In terms of conflict of schedule, I do agree that MBK should maybe waited a week or two since they only debut last week and schedules are more hectic.   Her loyalty right now is to IOI.  But obviously Dia\'s success is much more important long term.

Okay, I *DOUBT* that DIA Group is going to \'LIVE or DIE\' based on the presence (or lack of it) of JUNG CHAE YEON ... ;-)

*IF* JUNG CHAE YEON was such an \'INDISPENSIBLE\' member of DIA; WHY was she allowed to participate in the PD101 situation in the first place? ... ;-)

Why is everyone crying about this. IOI was always just gonna be a one year gig so its overall purpose for contestants was to give them a popularity boost/make their agencies want to debut them. And YMC already said she would be promoting DIA after IOI\'s first promotional period ends so theres no overlap.

why are people surpsised? that was obvious since the first day she joined the competition, she was there to gain fans and make people know more about her group Dia, that\'s it.

Well shit thats more promoting MBK has ever done.

This should NOT be allowed by those (CJ E&M Agency) who actually *control* what goes on with PD101, and the winning IOI Group. Either JUNG CHAE YEON is 100% focused on IOI activities, or she is NOT. Which now, CLEARLY, it is a *NOT* situation for her. I have nothing against JUNG CHAE YEON in this situation. That CJ E&M Agency is *allowing* this to happen; I am *very* surprised by it. I bet *more* than a couple of PD101 contestants who finished 12-22 would have been *thrilled* to be able to spend *their* 100% focus on IOI activities.

To me, what JUNG CHAE YEON is doing, makes it seem that IOI activity and membership is like a *convenient* \'JOB ON THE SIDE\' that she will EXPLOIT that too! It *definitely* rubs me the WRONG WAY! ... :-(\'

If she does her part in IOI then it\'s ok. Many girls worked hard to be in a spot like that so hopefully she doesn\'t abandoned it or treat it less than.

And hopefully her company doesn\'t exhaust her because her health is important.

I understand your viewpoint; but I *strongly* do NOT agree with it. Which, I am *not* saying that you are \'wrong\' here somehow. Just that I see it differently ... ;-)
