If Harry Potter is so magical how come he can't fix his own eyesight ?

he prob could if he wanted to. but it's part of harry potters look so i don't think rowling wanted to change that. and they wasn't advanced enough to fix it when he was younger. plus he had voldemort, so his eyes were the least of his worries. :)

Probably, he doesn;'t really mind his glasses. And/or he doesnt know the spell and doesn't want to have to go through all the trouble of going to the nurse and getting medicine and having it hurt. It would also would't take an instant to fix his eyes, and Harry has better things to do.

I'm not sure. Maybe he just didn't care that much. Hermione did fix her teeth, though. :) I guess he just wasn't that concerned (after all, he had to worry about Voldemort! AHH!!)

Because that's Harry's trademark! And plus, he's had glasses like his entire life, I don't think he really cares anymore...plus with Voldemort being all evil and stuff...glasses are the least of his worries.

I've always had this really Zufällig idea that Voldemorts spell backfiring off of Harry is what caused him to need glasses, and that they couldn't fix his vision in the same way that they couldn't get rid of his scar. Weird, right? Haha.
Obviously thats not the real reason, but its what I've always imagined in my head!

I'm also thinking that the real reason is just that his glasses dont bother him that much.

I suppose natural body deterioration is beyond the help of good magic oder beyond the law of good magic. Dumbledore wore glasses, to think he's a very powerful wizard. Probably if Du think like Voldemort and pretty much a dark wizard then Du can do something beyond what's natural. I suppose that's why he and his deatheaters are not bespectacled.

Guess Rowling thought character development was Mehr important than looking good. And Harry looked great in glasses. I Liebe Harry.

all Du tweens are retarded. harry is the most magical person out there. if he wants to he can fix his damn eyes. eyes are a body part. and when he is fighting voldermort, its for like 6 hours a year, and he always breaks his glasses when he is fighting. so he should be able to freaking fix his eyes. if he is powerful enough to fight voldermort, he is powerful enough to see without his glasses. maybe they are just fake glasses. who knows. like, this is just stupid. dear harry potter, fix your eyes.

This is because it would require a character that has the gift of healing. Not just an herbal nurse. This gift is owned within the person themselves not meds like herbs are used in the movie oder Von naturalist in the muggle world.

He could atleast use the Episkey spell :P

Episkey: Used to heal relatively minor injuries. When this spell is cast, the person feels his/her injured body part go very hot and then very cold.

Used in Goblet of feuer after the first task of the Triwizard Tournament. In Half-Blood Prince, Nymphadora Tonks uses this spell to ...fix Harry's broken nose; also used Von Harry in the same book to fix Demelza Robins' mouth.

I find this kind of a stupid question. Whats wrong with Glasses? I dont have them. But I actually wish I had some after Lesen the series, I read an Artikel saying kids with glasses felt better after Lesen the harry potter series.

I don't know but it is a thought. Got nothing against glasses (seeing as i have to wear them to see a scheune door) but if they can regrow Bones then shurly eyesight shouldnt be to much of a problem. And im sure that Mehr minor charaters wear them.

Although it may be due to gentics. If Harrys DNA says he has dodgy eyes then thats it. oder it might be because of the nerves involved are to complex

Good question. Being that I have the same eye troubles as the Boy Who Lived, I may be aable to give Du some insight.
So, Harry is nearsighted. This means that, without his glasses, the world becomes blurry at a certain distance. For me it's about two inches. For Harry,it is most certainly less than a foot. As Du may realize, this screws depth perception. Having worn glasses all his life, Harry has most likely adapted his lifestyle to them, especially when it comes to Quidditch. See, if he knows how much his depth perception is off, he can compensate for it. Why am I talking about depth perception? WELL, if Harry compensates for it in a certain way, he will continue to do so if his vision is suddenly corrected. It'll throw him off-balance considerably. The worse his eyes are, the Mehr he'll be thrown off and the longer it'll take to get used to.
Also, if Du recall, in DH, Harry mentally complains that he doesn't know any healing spells. Certainly fixing his eyes would fall under that.
And, last, but certainly not least, those round glasses are how we recognize him? How can we ever forget the round glasses paired with the scar?
