Regarding this spot and the Kürzlich decrease of fun - a disorganised rant

I was typing up an response to iluvtwilight_ for my personal enjoyment when someone reported the Frage and had it removed. I felt much frustration as what was once a very entertaining activity was reduced to pointlessness. This makes an already depressed person like me Mehr depressed. Siriusly, I want to committ suicide now...

No, I don't... not yet. But I considered leaving for a brief moment.
But to address this problematic issue. I present: link. O.o What's this? Wikipedia has a specific project devoted to adding humour to the site? OMG, on such a serious site?

Yes, even on such a serious site as Wikipedia, wikipedians are allowed their daily share of fun, whether it is in laughing at a vandal oder musing at the department. Why? Because, very high stress levels daily is quite a problem for most people, including myself. Which is what recently happened at this spot with the youknowit101 affaire. Now, I quote: "Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and a community. At times people suffer from high stress levels, and the most important thing to remember is to have fun."
Similarly, this spot is a serious debating spot, and also a community. The Fans on here are not mindless robots with one and one purpose only, they're human beings, with quirks, habits and most importantly, feelings.
They come here to have fun, to enjoy a few Minuten of lulz before battling real life. Take this away and what do Du have? A bunch of angsty teenagers in some Mehr mature Fans eyes? Yes.
Whether oder not Du dislike these bunch of angsty immature teenagers, they have chosen Von their free will to make this spot their fun place of the day. Who are Du then to remove it?

I said something along the lines of "This question can be reported, and eventually deleted for causing too much unnecessary conflict, if you guys don't mind" I did not report it, UNTIL someone else said reporting it was a good idea. I found it necessary to report because there were very few answers actually adressing the question. It was mainly filled with a bunch of people personally attacking and insulting the asker. "The fans on here are not mindless robots with one and one purpose only, they're human beings, with quirks, habits and most importantly, feelings. " That is exactly why I reported it.. The asker was a person with feelings, no matter how she spells. People found it necessary to attack this person because she insulted a book? A book is not a person. It's not as big a deal to insult a book. One of the main purposes of a book is to be criticized. It's not a big deal at all. (All Fanpop users are people, even if Harry Potter isn't their favorite book) If attacking and insulting a person is how you have fun, then I'm glad I'm not you.

Quaila Have you read the question properly? Do you agree that it was insincere? Have you investigated her other posts? Have you as I have that they are perfectly normal?

How I Have Become a Twilight Hater

Like a lot of other Antis, I was at first a Twilight fan.

I got into Lesen when I was 8 years old. First real book I have read was Harry Potter. Since than, I have read loads of fiction - romance, science fiction, fantasy, historical novels...
I liked some of them and disleked others. With years, I learnd to tell why and found my Favoriten - Fantasy novels.

Harry Potter

It has a PLOT! It has Subplots.It has several characters with depth.JK is not afraid to sacrifice the good guys. The characters aren't one dementional. JK researches her material, has good use of Latin and history within her books. Spells are named after Latin words and do what the Latin words do. Names of soem characters give hints as to what that character is such as Sirius which means Dog star, sterne for Mehr Albus which means White (pure wizard). Du can relate Harry Potter to WWII because of similarities Du could learn some history from the books.
Harry Potter teaches a good deal about prejudice...

The Internet and Maturity

Okay this is Mehr of an opinion, since my view of the activity is based off opinion.

Now whenever someone posts something on the internet and someone else responds negatively to it, they respond in the same way to that person. In a very negative tone. This is in fact what I see at times in forums.

First Twilight and Harry Potter fans, if Du post anything on the internet, whether they are opinions oder facts, Du have responsibilities with it. Du are exposing yourself to others in the internet. Du are responsible for the positive oder negative replies. So don't blame others for your actions....

I have actually read both series and liked Twilight okay, but Harry Potter rules for me!

First, the so often brought up topic... love, oder lack thereof. Harry Potter consists of all sorts of love: family, parental, romantic, friend. Twilight consists of pure lust. Now for the evidence! Mrs. Molly Weasley killed Bellatrix Lestrange because Bellatrix nearly killed Ginny, her only daughter. The Weasleys all look out for each other, and even Percy apologized in the seventh book. They joined together in dark times, happy ones, sad ones, and when Fred died. Du might say the Cullens Zeigen family love....
