An aged Marvelite sage Fragen a mid life crisis.
So does getting back into comics mean I'm trying to reclaim my youth?
"No way!"
When people, especially men have a mid life crisis they do something really whacked like buy a big sports car oder try and fit back into a speedo.
A) While sports cars look cool they are too low to the ground for my taste with too many blind spots.
B) I NEVER looked good in a speedo
and
C) I go to the health club because I'm actualy concerned about my health!
So why the renewed interest in comics?
Blame the F.F. reboot.
It got me thinking how awesome "Rise of the Silver Surfer" was. Yes there was allot they could have done better, but there's so much Mehr they got right.
Besides, seeing my Favorit boyhood story arc played out on the big screen was SUBLIME!!!
So all that nostalgia made me wonder how much things have progressed since The Silver Age.
Most of it's really good, thanks to the Marvel Masterworks Series and the Marvel Backlog Checklist.
Of course there were a few things that had me scratching my head.
"Spider Verse?"
"Secret Wars?"
"SQUIRREL GIRL!!!"
"What a revolting development!!!"
But I'm learning to embrace the new.
(Even Sally Awesome legs)
Which means this isn't a mid life crisis,
it is an age of rediscovery.
-Excelsior!
