Dear Dad,
I'm sorry I forgot your birthday. It's not like me to do that. Du probably think that's just how I am these days. That missing your birthday is just Mehr proof that I've become a different person, someone who forgets her family for a boy oder a fight oder whatever it was that got between us. That's the thing, I don't even know anymore. I know I've disappointed Du Mehr than Du ever thought possible. I never thought it was possible either. And now I feel kinda stuck in this pattern of messing stuff up and I don't know how to fix it. I wish we could make everything like it used to be, but I guess I'm old enough to know we can't. I know Du won't believe me but I think about Du everyday and no matter how bad things get oder how far apart we may seem, you'll always be my dad and I'll always be your Amy.
