Jasmine is pretty spoiled and is very outspoken, willing to stand up against authority. She seems more of a rule-breaker to me, wanting to get away from the strict palace rules. Tiana, on the other hand, is a rule follower.

Tiana is arule - follower, as ppgbelle4 said, and she knows she must work to reach the succes, and Jasmine starts to make her dream true.
