Second: Here is my personal break-down analysis based on knowledge of Arab/Muslim culture compared to the Disney Aladin film.

The majority of Princess Jasmine's numerous flaws stem from the fact that she is completely inaccurate and offensive to her culture. From the clothes she wears to the way she speaks, jasmin does not represent Arab oder Muslim women at all but rather a disgraceful woman in their culture. Unfortunately, jasmin is not a suitable role model for young girls.

1. jasmin is dressed like a Harem girl instead of a princess. A princess is the daughter of the king who no man is allowed to touch without the king's approval. A harem girl is one of the king's many mistresses. No king would dress his daughter like his mistress. No father would want to see his daughter dressed in that way.

2. jasmin is very impulsive to her detriment. She runs away from Home which would never happen in reality as she knows she would've been raped and/or killed as a lone female running around, especially in that clothing.

3. jasmin does not choose her words wisely and therefore gets herself into Mehr trouble. (Example: She says "At least one good thing will come of me being Queen, I'll have the power to get rid of you!" to Jafar. Now, someone who wasn't trying to stop her from getting to be Queen has all of the incentive in the world to stop Jasmine. If jasmin had kept her mouth shut, she could've just became Queen and actually got rid of Jafar instead of just talking about it.)

4. jasmin doesn't have enough self worth/value. As she says in Aladdin, "I am not a prize to be won." So she's just some trash to be thrown out? She completely looks at herself the wrong way. She IS a prize to be won and she gets to choose who gets to win. Instead of just being gegeben to someone, her preferences are actually playing a huge part. Most other princesses in the world and most other women in the middle east (Jasmine's culture) would not have had so many luxuries in choice of who to marry as jasmin did.

In addition, when jasmin first meets Aladin when he saves her in the marketplace, she immediately goes Home with him. He is a stranger and she has no idea what he will do to her. She also knows Aladin is lying about what Abu says when Aladin pretends Abu "thinks it's awful" that jasmin "has to get married". In this moment, she goes to KISS Aladin but the guards interrupt. No proper young lady would go back to a strange man's house and let him make his moves on you. If she had Mehr self value, she wouldn't be offering her first KISS to a Zufällig straße criminal that she doesn't even know if she should trust oder not yet.

5. jasmin is incredibly spoiled. Instead of recognizing how much better her life is than any other woman around her, jasmin refuses to acknowledge her blessings and instead is very spoiled and selfish in her wants for more. Nothing would ever be good enough for jasmin as her life is already better than everyone else around her yet she still complains. All her father wanted, was to know that his daughter would be taken care of Von a good man before he died and she wouldn't even give these men the time of day. How is she supposed to know whether oder not they are worthy oder whether oder not she could Liebe them when she wont even really meet them oder give them a chance? She'd be a much Mehr pleasant and reasonable person if she at least gave them a chance but made no connection. The film makes it obvious that she doesn't even try to connect with them though.

6. jasmin is absolutely a tease and not just for her clothing. Having watched the film, it is easy to say that her clothes are chosen for her rather than chosen Von her. This doesn't change the fact that she is so unpleasant in her personality that the most likely reason for her provocative clothing is so as not to scare off every potential suitor. Besides her clothing though, jasmin acts like a tease on her own accord. She teases Aladin on the balcony before berating him. (Refer to #6.)

7. jasmin is referred to as a "Shrew". A "shrew" is a person with violent temper and speech. This is not seen as becoming of a young woman. She should no better when to hold her tongue and when not to. She is also a prejudiced shrew, being awful to innocent people who don't deserve it. When Aladin compliments Jasmine, telling her that he thinks she is beautiful, her response is to tease and then berate him. She says "Hmm... Yes. I'm rich too. The daughter of a sultan. A fine prize for any prince." to which Aladin says "A prince like me." Hopeful that with his new status, he will finally be worthy of Jasmine's Liebe and attention. He goes through a lot just to get to see her again and how does she respond? "A prince like Du and EVERY other peacock I've met. Just, go jump off a balcony!" What a shrew! This guy goes through all of this trouble just so he will be allowed to meet and talk to Du and all Du can say is for him to go kill himself? Over what? Being attracted to you?

8. jasmin is incredibly spoiled. All her father wanted, was to know that his daughter would be taken care of Von a good man and she wouldn't even give these men the time of day. How is she supposed to know whether oder not they are worthy oder whether oder not she could Liebe them when she wont even really meet them?

9. jasmin is prejudiced. She doesn't even want to give Aladin a chance just because now he is a prince even though he is the same guy? This proves that jasmin is not a generous oder kind person who takes people as they are but rather for what they represent. She didn't even care to know Aladin as Ali because of what he represented not who he was as a person.

10. jasmin is a hypocrite. In addition to her being rude to Ali just because he was a prince, she was still rude when she realized he was Aladin the whole time. When she tricked Ali into admitting that he was Aladdin, she got very upset and started yelling at him. She yelled at him because he lied about who he was even though she started the lying in the first place when she lied about being a princess. How could she get mad at Aladin for pretending to be something he's not when she did the exact same thing? Somehow it's right when she does it but wrong for anyone else? Exact definition of a hypocrite. Both Aladin and jasmin felt trapped Von their positions in society and they both lied about who they were to discover another world they felt denied of. She had no leg to stand on whatsoever for getting mad at Aladdin.

Personally, this is all a shame to me because they pretended jasmin was an Arab princess but then they designed everything about her to be American oder an Arab harlot. This is not representative of her culture oder of a princess. [I personally would have loved to see her Mehr true to character as I think Muslim/Arab women have a very unique grace and bravery that could have been shown.] I believe the reason that jasmin gets negatively portrayed in lots of "fan fiction" is because she is so much in conflict with her own culture and princess culture. It is hard for grown adults to take jasmin seriously as a role model for young girls when she is portrayed this way.

Had jasmin been portrayed Mehr accurately, she would've been far Mehr like Cinderella, Ariel oder Belle. She would've been braver, kinder and Mehr modest. She would've had Mehr grace and poise the way a princess should. The most accurate jasmin was portrayed in Aladin was in her purple royal engagement announcement dress. That is the jasmin who should be sold to the little girls. Not the spoiled, impulsive, shrew-like tease version of her.

NOTE: Aladin IS taken from "1001 Nights" oder "Arabian Nights". Princess jasmin is based on Princess Badroulbadour who is Chinese (not Arab) and described as being somewhat spoiled and vain.

In light of Valentine’s Day, I decided to write an Artikel on the Disney Princess couple’s that I believe have the best and most realistic relationship. Oh, and spoiler alert: I only really like 4 of them.

Couples I DON’T like…

10. Mulan & Shang

 Mulan & Shang
Mulan & Shang

I Liebe Mulan – she’s intelligent, Merida - Legende der Highlands and selfless. And Shang’s no novice either; in fact, his bravery, leadership and courage are practically matchless. But their relationship, it was too sudden; too forced. They lacked chemistry. Make no mistake, I Liebe Mulan and Shang, they’re great – just not together....

Rapunzel & Ariel are completely different, and frankly, I’m sick of the comparisons. Today, I am finally addressing the common miscomprehension that Rapunzel is simply an Ariel “knock-off”. And if any feelings are hurt in the process, I apologize.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
We first met Ariel lurking around a sunken ship while simultaneously ditching/ruining Sebastian’s much-anticipated concert. Let’s call that strike one. When she returns to apologize for missing the concert, we learn she is disobeying her father. Now I can at least understand this. It was harmless fun – minus the shark...

I have seen a few Disney Princess Threads talking about the heights of the Disney princesses. I am going to give my opinion based on myself and facts.

Tall;
Esmeralda: She's not an official princess, but yes, she is the tallest. It has been confirmed.
Pocahontas; She's almost the height as John Smith, who was a tall man. She was always drawn with really long legs.
Elsa: She is Norwegian, the oldest, and has always just seem tall to me, even when she was younger.
Megara; Meg has the Sekunde tallest boyfriend, and is around his neck. I'm going to count it.

Medium;

Aurora; Though they say she is the...

Well, we've had a lot of turmoil and trouble through these polls, but I think finally we've got a mostly truthful countdown. Although this countdown is not going to be the exact order of most, I really think insgesamt people are going to be happy with the results. No one can deny that all of these girls are beautiful, it's just a matter of who its the most beautiful of all! So, let's get started!

9.Snow White
Snow White, the beauty who started it all. She has beautiful curly black locks, cute brown eyes with mile long lashes, and a sweet little smile. Her beauty may have been the envy of...

9.Ariel
Coming in last place in the countdown is Ariel. This spunky little princess sets a good example with her determination and willingness to never give up, even when the going gets tough. But she also was berated Von the community for her reckless decisions and called selfish for leaving her family.
 Positivity

8.Snow White
Snow White is known for her upbeat attitude. Her kindness and positivity toward everyone is a good trait that others should imitate. But she is also disliked Von the community for her total weakness and inability to stand up for herself, as well as...

I'm bored on fanpop, haven't written anything myself in ages (sorry, still working on my Favoriten list!) so here's a cliché looks Liste for Du guys to enjoy oder totally hate. ;) Elsa and Anna included.

13. Merida.

I think Merida's eyes look good in some shots like in this pic. In others, she looks rather scary (like Chuckie, if you've read my old Prettiest list). If she had Mehr defined lashes and maybe a less circular shape I'd have her higher. I don't think they're bad eyes; I just prefer the others.

Disclaimer: I know the Disney Princesses' have Models who perform actions so that the animators can define how to draw that particular movement. However, I also believe that the animators draw inspiration from their voice actors. Also this Artikel is just focused on the character's non-singing voice actor in the case that they have a separate one for when they sing.

1. Snow White: Adrianna Caselotti

Her features all in all are nearly identical to Snow White's. She has dark hair, pale skin, and hazel eyes. She has a simple nose, and is always smiling, which is also similar to Snow White. In fact,...

I still continuously see people remarking on Pocahontas "lack of personality." It has been a little Mehr uncommon, but just for the other nonbelievers, I decided to write this. I know many will beg to differ, but it's just the way I see it. If Du have any reason to disagree, go ahead and leave a comment. I'm up to defend her. XD Okay, I'll quit rambling on and actually start the article.

The Start

We first begin to see Pocahontas' personality in the very beginning. She leaves us with a lasting first impression. We can see how she is connected to nature from the very start. Seeing her jump off...

This Artikel is based on my opinion and first Filme only. Not all of the Disney Princess villains did a big mistake. But there are 3 villains who, I think, made the greatest mistakes.

3 Villains Who Make the Biggest Mistakes

Evil Queen

Yes, she wants to kill Snow White secretly. She transforms into a scary old hag that Snow White doesn't know her. But she makes one great mistake: putting poison into the apfel, apple which has love's first KISS for an antidote. Doesn't she see perfectly that Snow White has a lover: the prince? And she makes an assumption that the dwarfs will bury Snow White alive. That's...

Okay, so I'm going to try to help fanfiction authors again. oder criticize them. Whichever one it seems I'm doing better.

Anyway, in my Artikel 'Common Mistakes Made Von Disney Fanfiction Writers' I pointed out that many authors have Aurora play the role of the mean, beliebt girl in their high school AUs, probably because Aurora is a very unpopular princess.

Since I find it very irritating when characters are written OCC, I am going to Liste all of the Disney girls that I feel could play a good mean girl when written in-character. Of course, it would depend on what type of person the character...

Sobbing, all three of the Bimbettes collapsed against each other in their home. Eliza (the red Bimbette), Ella (the yellow Bimbette) and Emily (the green Bimbette) had been crying for days over the death of Gaston. Belle had been nice enough to arrange for the baker to deliver Essen and drink, because none of them had the strength oder motivation to go into town. If they had cried horribly when they thought Gaston was marrying another girl, they absolutely sobbed, depressed, when he died. They had been crying for two weeks now, and Eliza was starting to...

Hello! It's been a while, but I randomly had this thought and no real place to share it. I know the Titel sounds a bit outlandish, but I think my theory may have some merit.

To understand the Rapunzel story fully, we have to understand the origin of the fairytale and what its morals might be for the time it was created. The original german fairytale about a poor man stealing rampion plants from a witch has been heavily connected to possible sexual assault and the witch as a cultural Icon has always been linked to a bitter older spinster woman, who usually never found a husband and was therefor...
