Ranking Disney Guys by Their Dance Moves
Among other things, Disney guys are known for their dashing dance moves and fancy footwork. While rankings tend to cause controversy, we welcome a healthy debate over which Disney guy is the superior stepper on the ballroom dance floor. Give this list a chance, and then tell us what you think in the comments!
Though Eugene is insistent that he can’t dance, Rapunzel convinces him to join in the celebration. We’re glad he does, because he really holds his own in the village square.
It looks like someone attended all of their royal ballroom dance lessons as a youth. Prince Philip certainly knows his way around a dance floor, whether he’s waltzing around in a forest clearing or dipping Aurora on a fluffy cloud. He’s definitely the type of Disney guy who’d know the difference between a Valse Musette and a Viennese.
“In Summer.” A little soft-shoe never hurt anyone (or any snowman).
Doctor Facilier definitely takes the cake as spookiest dancer. He leaps! He bounds! He’s got friends on the other side! His lanky frame allows him to easily spin, twirl, and kick up his heels in his Voodoo Emporium.
If you’re looking for a goofy hula dancer decked out in a grass skirt, Timon is your guy. He shakes his hips and prances about like a pro; a perfect dancing diversion in
, we’re fortunate enough to see Kronk really break out some fantastic moves. The highlight of the performance is probably the part where he moonwalks across the floor, and Ms. Birdwell joins him for part of the famous Thriller dance.
Louis Stevens had some pretty epic dance moves. That’s just scientific fact.
. He does some sweet jazz moves in “Friend Like Me” and a Russian-cossack style dance in “Prince Ali.” There are probably many more, but these two are our favorites.
Though Stitch is constantly wreaking havoc, he does have a few redeeming qualities, namely his loyalty to Lilo and his willingness to break out in dance at a moment’s notice. Thankfully, the two are always in sync and pull off each step-ball-change flawlessly.
Hercules put the glad in gladiator, but Phil puts his back into it when he’s out on the dance floor. If you’re looking for a centaur who can really cut a rug, he’s your guy.
There’s a lot to unpack when it comes to the Duke of Weselton’s dance moves, but we think he describes his movement best himself: “Like an agile peacock!”
Prince Naveen can pull off almost any dance move because he’s got the most important element of all: confidence. His choreography is so good that it even translates when he’s in amphibian form.
I think we can all see eye-to-eye when it comes to evaluating the dancing prowess of
Powerline. Plus, he sings while he dances, and he has two fabulous back-up dancers to make the performance really stand out.
Why would we rank Max over Powerline, you ask? Because even though Max is but a novice performer, he really takes Powerline’s moves and makes them his own. Plus, his slides and spins help him sashay into Roxanne’s heart, and that’s a real win in our eyes.
This chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff can still kick up his heels, even with a belly full of hunny. He’s just so darn cute while he’s shuffling around his house with his hunny pots, and we would absolutely love to join him in a delightful jig.
There’s really no question that Mickey Mouse is the best dancing Disney guy of all time. The real reason Mickey takes this spot? He’s constantly dancing! Whether commandeering a steamboat or casting magical spells as a sorcerer, there’s always a certain pep to his step that deems him the very best dancer.
