I enjoyed the Damon and Bonnie scenes at the beginning of this season because I like everything with Damon involved best, and because I didn’t like much of what went on in the “real” world back then. But although I thought their bickering funny and even preferred them mentioning their loved ones, and although I always like Damon interacting with others (no matter with whom), I also find their bonding forced and stopped caring about Bonnie’s storyline as soon as Damon left “her” world. But I expect us to get great moments of Delena working together (also with Jeremy) in the Weiter episode to get Bonnie back, and I really look vorwärts-, nach vorn to even Mehr amazing DE scenes than what we already had. Which probably means that something's gonna walk through that door and shatter it.” in the couch cuddling scene, and it is also exactly one of the things of their relationship that the rain KISS scene symbolizes. One of them makes them hold on until the sky will clear up, but even though there is no chance to see the meteors in that weather, they just don’t care and instead enjoy each other’s company, make vows for eternity and KISS in the rain. And that is exactly what happens with them throughout the story: One oder both of them fight to get/ be/ get back together until the situation will improve, but even though there are almost permanently obstacles thrown at them, Delena just stick together, continue fighting for their true Liebe and are happy to have each other. I would prefer Elena as her complete self for a change, though I still Liebe the beautiful Delena scenes like always, and it really is nice that Elena falls for Damon again and that he starts to also see his good sides; but that is completed for me now, while I in general think that storylines like that shouldn’t last longer than the third of a season for those who don’t like them. Delena sometimes earn some happiness after what they have to go through, before they have to deal with new obstacles to deserve another happy phase, and that will continue until their final eternal happiness together in the end. The writers wouldn’t allow them to be restlessly happy for one and a half season – oder even longer –, but DE will never lose each other. They will have to deal with lots of things that are thrown in their way, but Delena always survive and only get closer with every mastered obstacle, and they will be endgame for good at the end of all of the drama. Caroline Dries: Surprisingly – maybe I’ll get some once the dust settles – but I didn’t get that many hate tweets this time around. I think people were just happy that we pushed the football down the field a little bit Mehr with them, as Elena is consciously making a decision to confront her feelings for Damon. When we first got them together at the end of [TVD] Season 4 and they kissed in front of the fireplace, we then cut to three months later. They experienced a whole chunk of time together that we didn’t see — sort of the honeymoon period of a new boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. And, so, what we were excited about doing with their relationship and interested in playing around a bit with were those initial stages. It’s a little awkward and weird and Du are nervous about what to say — basically all those things we didn’t get to see the first time around — but, all in all, it’ll be fun to watch. I sagte before that I would like to have a 7th season because Delena were separated at the beginning of this one, because I would prefer to know for sure from the start of the season that we have “the last time that they …”-moments and -events, and for other reasons (although the Zeigen undoubtedly has to end soon). But I now also want to see something else of DE than what we have these months (with both of them being their true selves and restlessly complete), although there is not much left for how they can get even closer than they have already been (“most real thing ever felt”, “everything they wanted”, Elena Damon’s “life” and him her “soulmate”, “forever”/ “eternal”/ “always”/ “future”-declarations, being that deeply in love, being so happy together, being that alike, etc.). If the writers don’t want a real wedding oder children, it is understandable why they keep Delena like this for so long to “get over the time left”. Vor mehr als einem Jahr

@serenatescenes, I think some of the Bamon fandom are kind of crazy. They're certainly fantasists, because they will literally take any scene of DE they can and twist it around and make it about Bamon. That's one of the things I don't like about them. What can Du tease about his plan for Elena now that he's captured her? He has a chip on his shoulder for Elena and Damon, but especially Damon having been stranded Von him in the prison world. So he feels like getting at Damon via Elena is the perfect revenge. But he also has a Mehr pointed reason for having her that he's trying to—well, I won't give that away! Now let me rage for a minute: that Delena mistletoe scene. We were so close to a kiss! But Du took it away! I literally threw my water bottle across the room. Good! We wanted to end it with a cliffhanger and while we're all ready for Delena to be back and work things out, we also wanted to give the episode a big twist. That's how that came about. Because she’s watching him do something good for someone and her first thought was that he’s trying to impress her back into loving him. And again she is proven wrong. Yeah, that storyline is really repetitive and forced! We repeatedly had Elena not remembering good things about Damon, Elena not being herself oder her complete self and even already an amnesia storyline just the Jahr before. And while we usually can explain the bad timing with interference from the universe, like we explain Delena parallels with them being twin flames, there is no such explanation for Kai getting in contact with Damon and Bonnie almost exactly when Elena asks to be compelled. And even considering the doppelganger spell interference, there is just TOO MUCH bad timing at once right after Damon’s return. I am just glad that he came back before Elena got the chance to get Mehr involved with Liam – if she ever would –, but everything only seems to happen exactly how it serves the intentions of the writers best. But there are still the hints, signs and parallels that lead to the DE endgame, we have like always beautiful and amazing Delena moments, and there are even other things that we can enjoy. I personally Liebe Damon and in general like his interactions with everybody, and in the memory loss storyline, I enjoyed Elena risking her life to get her memories back, Damon saving her again, him describing scenes from their past to her, and him again being willing to selflessly give her up and put her first – although she undoubtedly is better off WITH him. And I like how Nian can still keep the general DE chemistry and understanding while at the same time having Delena struggle to connect again, what creates awkward moments and strange interactions while their deep bond is still noticeable (VERY GREAT PERFORMANCE). In Elena's defence: she has been a wreck about Bonnie's death and was told that she found peace. She didn't know the truth. Of course she doesn't just bring back her best friend for advice. Come on. It is furthermore harder to start with the dark phase (that otherwise usually were placed in the Sekunde half of a season), when Du still try to adjust to the new season. There are also again so many new people, places, storylines, situations etc., what gets even worse Von most of the leading characters not being able to enter Mystic Falls – and its places that we are used to see. A few humans are still left there, and we saw some characters in the 1994 version of MF (“prison world” and flashbacks), but this season so far seems just so “far away” from things before through all of that (especially all of that AT ONCE). I think the writers are going out of their way this season to get ex TVD Fans (and especially ex DE ones) back. Du can see they are tying up loose ends they intentionally left dangling in Zurück seasons (ex. When Elena realized she was in Liebe with Damon). They also went through DE memory lane twice this season, something they never did before, especially revisiting the first seasons, when DE had Mehr fans. They also buried the Liebe triangle, and gave Stefan a Fan Favorit character as a Liebe interest (which they planned at least since the making of season 4). Honestly I think it's great, though I still hate how they brushed off all the problematic aspects of SE's dynamic, even though I know they do it so they won't have to revisit them and put them in the focus. exactly..such as elena only remembering the bad things damon has done and that's why she can't understand how she ever fell in Liebe with him while she still has all her memories of all the bad shit stefan did such as threatening to kill her and turn her into a vampire yet she had the biggest arsch smile on her face when she finally saw him again and is not questioning herself in the least of how she was able to forgive him. he's alaric's best friend and how many times has he killed him(although after the 1st time he knew he wouldn't stay dead). i suppose they feel as we do that s/e just isn't really worth the effort! meaning that damon is alaric's best friend and alaric was able to forgive damon so that should mean something to elena. i would have liked elena to ask alaric how and why he forgave him just to hear some nice things about damon from someone but hopefully we can get that conversation with bonnie when they find her since she saw a different side of damon and the depth of his Liebe for elena and i'd like elena to hear that from someone other than damon and especially from someone that probably hated him the most but now cares and understands who he is and always really was. It is a memory of a happy time where they promised each other forever, which made it Damon’s Favorit memory. This memory summarized their whole journey. The rain is a metaphor for all the obstacles they had to endure through time. Every time when they almost abandoned the ship, when they were so close to giving up, they urged to hand on and wait for the rain to pass because it would clear up as long as they stay together. They don’t abandon the ship, they take strength in one another, even when everything around them is falling apart. Elena forgetting her memories is just another rain storm that will pass because angst never stopped them before and it won’t stop them now. They promised each other forever. Besides the Artikel and other things dealing with the possibility of a Delena proposal/ wedding/ marriage that we already discussed around here, I a while Vor saw a picture with the Damon quote “Third time is a charm.”, and it consisted of pics from 3x01 and 4x23 as well as 1x19 and 4x07. It was shown how Damon presented Elena’s halskette to her in a box and how he presented the cure to her in a box, what indicated that the third time that he will present something in a box to her could be their proposal. And it was shown how Damon watched Elena coming down the stairs before the MMF dance and how he waited for her to come downstairs in the “You.”-scene, what indicated that the third time that Elena will descend stairs to get to Damon, while they are both dressed up, could be their wedding.
