This is my first article, but I just had to post my thoughts about the latest episode, *Klaus*.
I thought this episode was ok for it being informative, but it irked me with the way some of the characters were acting.
I absolutely loved Elijah in this episode, past & present day. Some others may say he's like Stefan when it comes to comparing his history with Klaus with Stefan/Damon's, but I don't. I also loved Elijah/Katherine scenes, maybe even ship them a little bit.
I loved Katherine having fun with bourbon too & Damon giving her vervain.
Now, what annoyed me the most in this whole episode was Stefan. I have always loved the potential for Stefan's character outside of Stelena, but tonight made me really wanna bash him over the head over & over again.
First off, I loathed how Stefan was all smug when he rubbed it in Damon's face that he doesn't have Elena's respect, mocking Damon's Liebe for Elena in the process. IMO that is the main part of the reason Damon was so unreasonable when Elijah wanted an apology.
Then, in the scene with Elena/Elijah, Stefan sucked up to Elena cuz she wanted him to trust Elijah. He also did it cuz he does Liebe Elena & would go along with anything except some circumstances to protect her, but he sagte he would do anything to protect Elena & drew it out plainly just to be smug to play up for Elena (cue her smile at him) & cuz Damon was in the room. It just shows me that Stefan doesn't understand anything when it comes to Damon. I'd expect Stefan to understand y Damon is so adamant in the first place about wanting to protect Elena differently, but no. Some argue that Stefan has tried to help Damon & he has, but not to the extent that Elena has. It saddens me that Stefan doesn't even seem to care about Damon's inner struggle, since he did go thru that a long time ago.
I get y Damon is so unreasonable/reluctant in some ways to yield from his ideas to protect Elena, but I would bet anything that he wouldve been willing to at least truly hear Elena/Elijah out if Stefan hadnt thrown Damon's Liebe for Elena in his face & about Elena supposedly not respecting Damon, which is untrue. Damon went into that scene unreasonable to the extreme due to thinking Elena doesn't respect him & his willingness to go to hell & back for her.
Now, about the scene with Andie: I thought it was a bit much, but he didn't kill her & Stefan has slammed Elena herself around too when he's angry/high on HB, plus they r both vampires. Pulling moral codes IMO is just a way for some to complain so they can come up with many *reasons* as to y Damon shouldn't be with Elena. These reasons should not just be applied to Elena, but for ANY ship that involves Damon. (I read on another site that someone sagte that Damon *raped* Andie & that just made me roll my eyes in pure irritation).
It also bugs me that some think it's ok to bash Damon, but when someone dares call out Stefan's flaws, then we r called haters, immature, etc. Them both doing bad things should be pointed out. I'm not defending Damon just cuz I am a DE Fan oder cuz I'm supposedly blind Von Damon to care. I just understand his character. (Tho I don't get y some go to low extremes to bash his character then want him with someone else, but to each their own since I do respect other shippers, just dont like certain ships).
I have been keeping quiet for awhile about Stefan getting propped lately just to make him look like a saint, & tonight was further solidifying that its what the writers r so dead set on. It may feel like to some that Damon's character is being made hated so everyone will get on board with the other ship/s (which won't happen in my case), but y not just focus one other stuff? O well.
I did like Klaus a bit, but I'm not impressed with him. This episode just made me Liebe Elijah more, happy to c Katherine, mad at Stefan's smugness, & pain at seeing Damon's despair & relief that he didn't kill Andie.
So here's to better Delena scenes leading up to the finale & in the last episode itself plus a true DE Season 3. It's about dang time.
P.S.: I wasn't ranting about other ships. Just don't like the lengths Stefan went to in episode 19. It just bugs me is all. I hate generalizing, but it's ok to be curious about others' opinions, debate, etc. Done lol.

Title: To Helen [Poem of Youth]
Author: Edgar Allan Poe [More Titles Von Poe]
HELEN, thy beauty is to me
Like those Nicean barks of yore,
That gently, o'er a perfumed sea,
The weary way-worn wanderer bore
To his own native shore.
On desperate seas long wont to roam,
Thy hyacinth hair, thy classic face,
Thy Naiad airs have brought me home
To the glory that was Greece,
And the grandeur that was Rome.
Lo ! in yon brilliant window-niche
How statue-like I me thee stand,
The agate lamp within thy hand!
Ah, Psyche, from the regions which
Are Holy-land !
-THE END-

Ok so I was just randomly listening to the 2 songs off the TVD soundtrack from episode 1x01 and 3x19...and I noticed something that blew my mind. I just thought I'd share it. We all know how influential the Musik can be as far as foreshadowing goes. This analysis just furthers my belief that Delena were meant to be all along and from the very beginning.
So when Elena is going to the cemetery in the very first episode of season 1, unbeknownst to her, Damon is hiding in the fog watching her. While this is going on, the song in the background (Say All I Need Von One Republic) has lyrics that go "All I need is the air I breathe, and a place to rest my head."
In season 3 episode 19, Damon and Elena finally KISS passionately. The accompanying song (Never Let Me Go Von Florence and The Machine) has a verse that says "I found the place to rest my head."
I see what Du did there TVD crew :-)
