My husband had a meeting at Opry Land years Vor and we were Friends with the head manager. He told my family that Carol Burnett would be in the hotel for a few days on business. Both my daughters waited for days in the lobby watching for her-just like they watched all her t.v. programs-religiously, lol.

Finally, they discovered through a maid that she was already in the hotel and got the room number. (They were about 9 and 10 at the time). Without our knowledge, they went to the room, knocked, and Carol's daughter answered the door! She called for her mom. My girls were invited in and were overwhelmed being able to really TALK with Carol! That night, we returned to our room to find signed autographs on their bett pillows. My family has never forgotten that kindness!

My daughter was so encouraged Von the conversation that she decided not to give up her dreams. She graduated from NYU drama, and eventually became Sr.Vice President of HBO where she worked for several years, the films she brought them earned Emmy's. She is now with another company, same title, and has always felt it was Carol that gave her the courage to fight for the industry she wanted to be in.

Kansas City is going to have Carol Burnett here soon, and if possible, my husband and I would like to thank her in person. If that is not possible, then please, let her know how she influenced a young girl who has held her success due to Ms.Burnett.
