What's a good Anime to watch if you've never seen any before?

Death Note is what got me started on anime. :D

These a some of the most popular.
If Du are new to anime, the first thing I realized when I started watching was; Du can't judge it Von the art style (the way its drawn...the way it looks,whatever) Du do that an Du could miss out on something really awesome.

Well, My first Anime was Vampire Knight.
Although, I think Darker Than Black oder Code Geass could also be a good choice. It really depends on what Du like. Exploring is the good thing! Fruits Basket would also be a good choice. ^^

First Anime ever?
well, i would recomend Dragon Ball z, if Du havent watched any before.
its good because Du dont have to start in the middle and not understand whats going on,(you kinda have to follow allong from the begining otherwise NOTHING makes sense)
Du can watch it on Youtube, but i dont think they air it on any channels any more... only two channels Zeigen Dragon Ball z Kai, wich is basicly Dragon Ball z but shorter, and with a few details left out. they Zeigen that on Nicktoons (they Zeigen Dragon Ball GT also) at a bunch of Zufällig times and on 4kidstv on saturdays at 10:00 AM.

If Du like Romantic Comedies Du should watch Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club but if Du like action and adventure then Du should watch InuYasha , Fairy Tail , Bleach , Fullmetal Alchemist , Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood , Soul Eater and Black Butler and the are all on Animeratio.com

The Anime that comes immediately to mind is "Darker than Black"

From the moment I watched it, I felt that it was a good middle-ground between live action and anime

Reasons:

1# It contains several elements that are beliebt in live action (government agent warfare; super powered agents; mystery)

2# It has a Film noir feel

No other series has really made me think of it like this

I would think Naruto would be a good starter, also Inuyashia and Kekkiashi.

I think Du should try watching death note as its a ssool Anime but if your not into (killing, god oder justice)then this Anime may not be for you.

Hmm... I think my first Anime was black butler... and to be honest, i LOVED it. Yes, the "blood and gore" didn't "rub me the wrong way". But if you're squeamish, it's not for you.

Bamboo Blade is funny and full of fighting good for a first Anime with no Küssen until episode 20 so far... maybe a little bit of romance, but the first Anime I watched was Special A
(S A).

Well Hetalia: Axis Powers is what first got me into anime. It's a comedy.
If you're looking Mehr for action and adventure then I think either Black Butler oder Death Note would be a good starting anime.
