Sarah Paulson won\'t tell us much about her

season eight character, but has offered an intriguing tease.

, Paulson joked that she couldn\'t tell us anything if she\'d "like to continue to be alive", before hinting: "The only thing I can say is it\'s something I\'ve never done on the show before which is saying something because I\'ve done a lot of wackadoodle stuff."

You might think that means it could be anything, but following Ryan Murphy confirming that season eight will feature the long-awaited

It means it\'s unlikely that Paulson is unlikely to appear as her

character, Cordelia Foxx, as she has done both of those things before.

And if you think "never done on the show before" could mean Paulson reprising an earlier

Murphy has previously confirmed that season eight will be set in late 2019, and that series regular Evan Peters will be playing a comedic hair stylist whose grandmother will be played by the one and only Joan Collins.

He\'s also been promising similarly to Paulson that it\'s a season "unlike anything we\'ve done because there\'s a big hook to it".
