Didn't really care either way. Didn't really think about it when I was reading the books and when JK announced it, I was already done with all of them. I just said, "Oh, okay." *shrug* Didn't make a difference to me. Didn't even see why it had to be announced. There's so much other stuff going on that Dumbledore's sexuality never entered my mind while reading.

Okay, I just want to clarify some points. The question "do you like that D. is gay?" is in itself stupidly appalling! Do people really need to approve or not Dumbledore's sexuality? He's gay, period.

The options are not better! "I love that Dumbledore's Gay It makes him even cooler!! " or "I hate it and even want to forget about that / Rowling was stupid to say something like that".. I mean, seriously?! First of all, gays are not "cooler" than straights, and secondly, homophobia just pisses me off. ¬.¬

It doesn't change my opinion about him at all. I do like it though, because it shows people that gay people are infact PEOPLE. She did it to make a point. Especially beause he's also one of the most respected people in the series. Gay is not an insult guys.

Comments like "it's stupid that she said that, he's not gay" and "no and I want to forget about it" makes my stomach turn. It should make no difference on what you think about him.

First of all, Joanne was NOT stupid when she said he was gay. He's her character and she gets to decide the facts. And all you people who have a problem with his sexuality are ignorant, cowardly jerks! Dumbledore is gay. Get the hell over it!
