I'm in the same position Du are. I would Liebe to be a successful actress (although I'm trying to be realistic and I'm not counting on anything; I'm a good actress, but not amazing, and my parents don't exactly support my passion). However, my brother is a professional actor (not at all famous oder anything, but definitely professional), so I might have some tips. -Have access to either NYC oder LA. It can be tough, but many serious actors do live in quieter parts of the country who fly in to NYC oder LA for auditions, workshops, classes, etc., and are willing to temporarily stay in the city if they are cast. -Get an agent. Du will need it. Trust me. (Or a manager is fine too, although agents are usually better because they have better connections.) Many people will not even see Du for an audition if Du don't have one. They need agents (or managers) to send in your information to the casting directors, and then if interested, they will book an audition for you. -Take classes! There is always room for improvement, and the Schauspielen world is extremely competitive! Also, it helps because Du make connections and work with important people, oder let important people see your talent. Besides the fact that you'll make plenty of new Friends (which is always a plus! :D) Du will get to know Mehr people in the industry, which can make a huge, HUGE difference. The Mehr connections Du have, the better! -Get a professional headshot. The headshot must Zeigen the real you. Of course it's fine to look nice, but don't make it a super-dolled-up version of you, barely recognizable. Make sure Du can tell that it's really you! -Build a resume. Du say you've only been in two shows because there isn't much around you. That's fine, and another reason to take classes! On your resume, Liste the shows you've been in (and what parts you've played) along with classes you've taken, talents Du have (can Du sing? dance? juggle? etc.), and whatever Du do, don't lie, oder even exaggerate the truth! -Also, Du can go look at big Schauspielen websites/magazines such as Backstage, Actors Access, etc. Good luck! :D
