Schauspielen Frage

Learning to cry.

Hello, everyone. I was wondering if Du great set of actors/actresses could lend me a helping hand? :)

I can work up pretty much any emotion for acting: Anger, Happiness, laughter, fear, etc. But the only one I seem to be having trouble with is crying. I'm not one to cry very easily (Heart of stone here, lol) so when it comes to thinking of sad things to get upset...it doesn't work. I was just wondering if anyone has any good tips for crying?

I'm that way too; I cannot get myself to cry! Idk, I try to stare at a really bright light oder pinch myself really hard oder something, but it only works sometimes :I

As an actor/actress, your duty is to have an expanded imagination. Develope your imagination, and Du have enhanced Schauspielen skills (making Du Mehr apt for auditions than others). Imagine the situation, assuming it's already depressing, ten times worse. Two other people are assasinated, your son has a Tag to live rather than a week, your father dies in Iraq rather than simply being deployed. Schauspielen means convincing yourself that you're in that position. Try Schreiben out different, Mehr dramatic takes in the scene, then practice Von placing yourself in that position, and keep it up till Du get the hang of it. It's all techinally 50% imagination and 50% determination in the realm of acting. Hope that helps :]

Thanks so much, everyone. I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I will try my best to put myself in a horrible situation like Du said, Summer_Leanne. :)

I don't cry easily. Sometimes bright lights make my ears tear up (rarely thought) but that's it.
I've never actually had to cry, but my Guter Rat is to think of humanity catastrophes. Exagerate the situation. You're getting dumped, your mom is kicking Du out of your house (example). If ntohing works, cover your eyes and sob (its not the best solution thought)(make sure this is okay with your director BEFORE)

Yeah, I heard about that. Do a scene where they're just about to cry, stop, and put in the drops. Then uo go back to the scene and when you're done, they put it together. It's very handy, it makes me feel good that even some people working on stechpalme, holly Wood need help. :)

Whether oder not Du need legitimate tears depends on the kind of Schauspielen you're setting out to do. If Du want to be a stage actor, getting real tears isn't quite as important as conveying the emotion that you're trying to get across. Du want to focus Mehr on accurately representing that emotion than trying to actually cry. Du don't want the performance to suffer because Du weren't focused on the real acting. If Du want to to screen Schauspielen though, you'd probably want real tears for that. I can't really give Du very good Guter Rat on producing tears at will (I can't really do it myself) but what I can tell Du is just do your best to really feel what the character is feeling and deliver the lines and the actions with the appropriate emotion... hopefully the tears will come on their own that way!

What I do is think of death, of my Favorit Berühmtheiten who died, and I listen to, oder play in my head sad songs. Some ones that make me cry are No-One But Du Von Queen, Just A Dream Von Carrie Underwood and Hey Jude Von The Beatles.
Also, Du can think of why your character cries in the play. Step into your characters shoes, pretend Du are your character and all this is happening to you.
After the performance, listen to happy Musik so Du feel better!
