This was turning out to be such a weird day. First Robin went missing, then Artemis--Artemis, of all people--suggested that I Mitmachen the mission to rescue him. Artemis had always been the most opposed to my joining the team, so hearing those words come out of her mouth was completely unexpected. There's gotta be a reason, I thought. I knew Batman wouldn't fall for it, though, whatever it was that Artemis was planning. But to my surprise, he nodded.
"You can fly, right?" he asked me, in the same gruff tone. I nodded silently. I couldn't fly particularly well though, and I had been hoping to travel in the safety of the bioship.
"Go find Infinity, then," he continued. "Try to calm her down a little." I nodded again, and went into the main room, where I had seen Fin go earlier.
Inside, Fin was slumped on the floor. Her feuer had lessened considerably, but she was still radiating immense waves of heat. Her long hair was still smoking slightly, and I noticed her sunglasses were off, and I could see her eyes for the first time. They were piercing, electric blue.
Upon hearing my footsteps, she quickly put the dark shades back on and scrambled to her feet, changing into her shimmering costume: Gold minidress, high boots, dark cape, thin mask, with a flick of her hand. Like Megan, she could change her appearance as well. "Fin?" I asked cautiously, hoping she wouldn't explode again.
"Mmm?" she mumbled.
"I'm coming too." She stayed expressionless for a second, then her mouth teilt, split into a wide grin.
"Yes!" she cried. "Your first mission! Do Du want me to change you?"
I nodded, and with another sweep of her hand, I was transformed into my costume, purple and green bodysuit, black cape, combat boots. "Thanks," I muttered. "Apparently I'm supposed to fly with you."
She nodded wordlessly. She seemed slightly taken aback that I wasn't traveling in the bioship, but she didn't say anything. Finally she broke the silence. "To the zeta tubes, then?"
We headed back over towards the entrance to the cave. Fin stepped forward.
Recognized. Infinity. B08.
Once she had disappeared, I stepped into the light.
Recognized. Tiger Storm. B09.
I was engulfed in the brilliant blaze, and I instinctively closed my eyes. When I opened them again, I was in the abandoned phone booth Weiter to Fin. She had cooled down considerably, although she was still engulfed in heat."There Du are," Fin said, opening the door to the booth. The night air, cool and crisp, tickled our faces, making our hair dance softly in the wind. We both stepped outside. She was getting ready to lift off, when I saw something out of the corner of my eye.
"What's that?" I asked, pointing. It was another phone booth, exactly like the one we had just exited. It was about twenty-five yards away, and I certainly did not recognize it. Fin looked where I was pointing. She shrugged.
"Oh, I'm sure that's always been there," she sagte without enthusiasm. "C'mon Aisling. Stop worrying and get flying."
I raised one eyebrow. I wasn't sure, so cautiously, slowly, I began walking closer. "Aislinggggggg," Fin groaned impatiently. "Come ON!"
I shook my head, and carefully opened the door. My blood froze cold. "Fin! Fin! Come here QUICK!"
Hearing the urgency in my voice, she sprinted over and stood Weiter to me. She took one look at what was inside, and pierced the still night with a bloodcurdling scream.

This was her chance. Sydney jumped up and swung her arms under her legs so that her hands were in front of her. Quickly she swung around, hitting the guard behind her and knocking him out. Ty noticed, and lunged at her. She quickly dodged, grabbing the key for her handcuffs off the guard with the few Sekunden that she had earned. Before she could unlock them though, Ty was able to get back up and start kicking at her. Sydney dodged almost all, except one that sharply entered her stomach. Stumbling over, Sydney dropped the key, “Crap.” She calmly mumbled. Ty threw a schlagen, punsch at her; she ducked and rolled under him. She grabbed the key and quickly unlocked her cuffs. Sydney sent a schlagen, punsch toward Ty, who smartly dogged it and sent on back in return.
