Part 3-

A sharp rapping came at Holly's window. She looked over. Revenge was squatting in the windowsill of her thirtieth story apartment. She went over and opened it. Revenge jumped in and closed the window.

"Batman wants us at the Cave in ten minutes." Revenge said.

"I'm almost ready." stechpalme, holly sagte slipping her gloves on.

Revenge looked around. "Nice room."

"Thanks," stechpalme, holly replied.

Revenge looked at her. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, why do Du ask?"

"You're nervous."

"And how would Du know that?"

"I just do."

"Uh-huh." stechpalme, holly sagte non believing.

"What's wrong?" Revenge asked, handing her her boot and sitting down Weiter to her.

"I'm afraid that they won't accept me." stechpalme, holly said.

"I've already talked to Batman, he won't kick Du out." Revenge said.

"That's not what I mean." stechpalme, holly replied. "I'm scared the Team won't respect me, won't accept me as one of them. A hero."

"You are a hero." Revenge said.

"How can Du say that? I worked for the League of Shadows and almost killed Du three days ago!"

Revenge pulled off his mask revealing a calm face with startling blue eyes and short, messy brown hair. When he spoke, it was in a smooth voice. "Because, it took a herz of Courage to do what Du did. Leave your former life, everything Du know, to do the right thing." Revenge said.

"Really?" stechpalme, holly said, looking at him.

"Yeah," Revenge replied. He put his hand on her shoulder. "Don't sweat it, kid."

Revenge pulled his mask back on. "Let's go before Batman fries us."

stechpalme, holly finished tying her boots and stood up. "Need my mask." she said, ducking into the closet. She came back out with a piece of black material. She slipped it over her head.

The mask was remnant of Batman's. It covered the oben, nach oben half of her head, but had an opening on the back to allow her hair to fall loose.

"Ready," she said.

The two walked out into the main room. Holly's mom was in the kitchen.

"I'm going out, mom!" stechpalme, holly yelled.

"Stay safe! And be back before 11:30!" Holly's mom replied.

"Sure!" 

The two young Heroes walked out into the hallway and to the back of the building. Revenge opened a window and hooked his grappling line.

"Grab on." he said.

stechpalme, holly wrapped her slender arm around his neck. Revenge wrapped his strong arm around her stomach and lowered them to the ground. They started walking.

"Got a name?" Revenge asked.

"What?" stechpalme, holly asked.

"Hero name." Revenge said.

stechpalme, holly thought for a moment. "Courage." she said.

They stopped in front of the abandoned theatre. "Courage?" Revenge asked as they walked inside. stechpalme, holly couldn't see through his mask, but she could tell he had raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah," stechpalme, holly said. "You sagte I had a herz of Courage. I took the inspiration from you."

Revenge smiled beneath his mask.

He tapped a button and the theatre screen slid aside to reveal a zeta-tube.

"I'll have to authorize you. Just wait a minute." he said, before stepping up into the transporter.

"Recognized, Red Revenge. B-13." The computer voice rang through the empty theatre. Revenge found himself in the Cave a moment later.

"Revenge." Kaldur sagte as a greeting. Revenge nodded and pulled up a keyboard.

"Access Granted. Courage. B-12. Authorization: Red Revenge. B-13." the computer voice said.

stechpalme, holly appeared in the Cave. TheTeam instantly recognized her, but sagte nothing. stechpalme, holly walked up sheepishly. She got the the same greeting Wally had gegeben Artemis. Kaldur shook her hand. Superboy nodded, Robin saluted, and Megan shook her hand without saying a word. Very un-Megan like.

stechpalme, holly walked over to Artemis. Artemis pulled her to the side.

"Don't worry." Artemis said. "They'll warm up to you. I know exactly how Du feel."

"You sure do." Revenge said, walking past the two girls. Artemis glared at him, but turned back to an inquiring Holly.

"Don't worry about it." Artemis said. "Kaldur respects you. I'm fine with you. Besides, I know one other member of the Team likes you."

"Who?" stechpalme, holly asked unbelievingly.

Artemis jerked her thumb. stechpalme, holly looked at the figure of Revenge typing something on the computer.

"You have got to be kidding me." stechpalme, holly said.

Artemis grinned and shook her head.

"But, Revenge, Revenge doesn't like anyone." stechpalme, holly said, emphasizing 'anyone'.

"Trust me, he's like that as a hero, but I'm sure he's fine as a normal person, oder his identity is blown." Artemis said.

"I guess." stechpalme, holly said. "We do go to the same school."

"He told Du his secret identity?" Artemis sagte unbelievingly.

"Yeah, he didn't tell any of you?" stechpalme, holly asked.

"No, he doesn't trust any of us." Artemis replied.

"Huh," stechpalme, holly said.

"Recognized, Batman. Zero two." the Cave's computer rang out.

"Computer, International News." Batman said.

"Oh joy." Artemis said.

"Russia?" Robin asked, walking up.

"Russia." Batman said.
