She strummed her guitar, bored out of her mind. Phoebe sat beside her, twirling the microphone in her hand. She groaned.
“Phoebes, we haven't played a knew song in a month! I can't work like this!”
“Sorry Bec, but we can't give up.”
“Sure we can. I know where Batman stores the chocolate. All we have to do is walk away.”
“What are Du guys doing?” Blade asked, coming into the room.
“We're trying to think of a new song,” Phoebe explained while at the same time, Becca said, “Dieing in misery without chocolate.”
“Just re-make a song.”
“Do what now?” Phoebe asked.
“She means take a song but twist it up a bit.”
“Oh. Well...what song?”
Becca suddenly shot to her feet.
“What is it?”
Ignoring Phoebe, Becca looked at Blade.
“Hey, do Du sing?”
“Wanna do it with us?”
“I thought Du had a band.”
“I gave them the week off. Please Blade! Please~!”
“Woo-hoo! Now can Du get Terror on the phone?”
“You guys sure about this?”
“Kissing up? Nah. But he was the one who asked us to do this in the first place.”
“True. Besides, Becca found the stash.”
They slipped onto the dark stage as Bruce Banner came up in front of the crowd of rich people who had been invited to his charity event.
“Ladies, Gentlemen, tonight's Musik will be provided Von the Neon Lights. I know they're young, but they also gave in without me having to pull out my check book.”
Becca rolled her eyes as laughter faded away.
“So, without any further introduction, the Neon Lights.”
Applause sounded and the lights came on. Becca pointed to Dylan and he belted out on his saxaphone, leading the song. Phoebe grabbed her micro phone. Good evening all Du gentlemen, ladies, creeps and crooks
Becca started Weiter and then Blade joined in. Men in Suits come after you, and still you're off the hook
For those who scare and terrorize, it's the dawn of a brand new day
Then they sang together. Du all can simply call us, the one and only Birds of Prey
Blade leaned against the building, looking on as the event continued. Becca came over.
“Yeah. That was fun.”
“You can always Mitmachen us.”
“Nah. I liked it, but I'd rather not be on a schedule.”
Becca nodded. They watched as Phoebe talked with Bruce, Dylan not far behind.
“Scouting around. He knows this will get tons of publicity so why not keep an eye out?”
They came to a halt as Phoebe rushed up to them, Dylan trailing behind.
“He liked it!”
“Really?!” Becca asked.
“Yeah. Everyone loved how we sang about them.”
“Well it's pretty true.”
Blade, Phoebe, Becca (in that order left to right)
