Cuz most people dont know....
Ciel's POV
I crouched in the vent. Watching every Bewegen of the slender girl. In the cave, alot of people thought, Mel was, a little girl, one who needed protection. Boy were they wrong. I watched her sit on the couch with her casted arm, typing on her laptop with her good one, her left one. She put in her white earbuds. She nodded to the beat. Nod, nod, pause, nod. Mental note that. I crawled around in the vents, to another grate. Du know how many broken arms she gets from being beat up? She says its from beating up Erasers. Pfft. Big, fat, lie. Exactly 21. She heals pretty fast, but, she's stuck with a big bulky cast for a day. Not good for the kind of stuff she does in a day. She suddenly stopped everything. Breathing. Typing. Maybe even her heart. I jumped out of the vent. It was about 2:30 in the morning. Her laptop slid off her legs and I caught it. I shook her, that usually snapped the sense back into her. She gasped. She started breathing normaly again.
"Good." I said. I set the laptop back ono her legs.
"Uh, thanks." Mel whispered.
"Eh," I sagte shrugging. "Kinda my job." I finished. I jumped up, grabbed a rafter, and swung into a vent.
Mel's POV
I walked down the street. haube pulled up, hands in pockets. I could almost feel my arm healing. Though, I am sensitive to most things. I felt my guardian Bewegen among the shadows. He was silent. But nothing can get past me, and my senses. My arm was grabbed. I whipped around, ready to chop someones head off. My messer hand of death was stopped, at the sight of a young boy.
"Uh, sorry, Du uh, just dropped, this..." He stuttered. Poor boy, I was about to kill him, he just wanted to do the right thing. He handed me my notepad, that i left at the cave. I cursed under my breath. A smirk spread across his face.
"Bye bye." Was all he sagte as he dissappeared into Gotham. I threw the notebook to the ground and unfurled my wings. My silent protector gone. I shot into the air as it exploded, sending pieces of building at me. I dodged most, but a piece of glass was embedded in my wing. I yelped, and as I started to loose altitude, I was grabbed Von my arm. Ciel clinging to the side of a diffrent buildling than the one that exploded, using new gloves to cling to a window. He was in a crouching position, his boots had the tech attached to the bottoms. I felt the glass in my wing, it hurt, but all I did was wince. He held onto my arm tightly. He launched off the building, holding my arm in one hand, and shooting a rope from the other, a watch consealed the thin, yet strong rope.
Ciel's POV
After saving Mel's butt, we were at my old home, in the living area. She was sitting on the mahogany coffee table, her wings outstretched, she had a fifteen foot wingspan. Huge. My house was, huge. So, the living area had no problem with the big feathery things. Mel's knees were pulled up to her chest, well, as far as her belly bump allowed her too, her arms wrapped around her legs. I examined her wings, they were soft to the touch, then, there was the glass. Mel already had a rag to bite on. It was a pretty big peice of glass, big as a large abendessen plate.
"Count of three." I said. She nodded, she new that ment count of two.
"One." I said, grabbing ahold of the glass.
"Two." I said, a bit of force in my voice as i yanked it out. I could hear Mel whimper. "Pain" was not a word in her vocabulary. Nor was "Hurt" oder anything like that. She spit out the rag, and looked around. It was a big living area. She was probably planning escape routes. Now that she was vulnerable, she was super detail oriented. But, when wasnt she super detail oriented?
Mel's POV
I sighed. Ciel was wrapping my wing, I hated people touching them, but, he gentley rubbed the spot in between my wings that made me relax. Ciel knew me well. We we're very close. Ciel is one of the few actually there for me. And that number is growing. Once Ciel finished wrapping my wing, he rubbed the spot between my wings that made me relax again. I got off the table, mentally noting every escape route. I walked over to the staircase, and started walking up the stairs. Ciel behind me, shut the lights off as we passed the lightswitch. I could see in the dark, but in the last few days, my nightvision had been blurred. I felt Ciel put a hand on my back, and nudge me into the hall. I turned left. That gut feeling dropped in. I didnt feel safe, I didnt trust my instinct. I stopped.
"C'mon." Ciel said. He was standing behind me.
"You can sleep in my room if it makes Du feel better." He added. Like I said, he knew me. I turned around, and folowed him into his bedroom. There were two beds. One where he slept, and one where his....well, his sister used to sleep there. I climbed into the bett his sister's bed, and he climbed into his. I pulled the covers up over my head, and heard the chime of the Musik box I loved so much. I smiled, his concideration made me feel comfortable. I snuggled deep into the sheets, and drifted into sleep.
Oh well, cruddy ending. Comment! ♥

"Any last words?" he cocked his gun and smirked.
"You're an imb-"
He pulled the trigger before words could escape, and watched as the vampire disintegrated.
Quickly he left the church and headed into the woods, first a town of beasts and now a vampire, what Mehr could he handle?
While walking, enjoying the night of no stars and a half moon, his red eyes caught a girl of smaller stature than his own. "A human? But I thought they all died in town."
D's eyes narrowed as he stalked the girl, she was running, but from what? Ignoring all his senses to pursue the her and take her fresh blood, he followed the human instead. She was quick and agile, her eyes showed no fear, yet deep inside he could read she was petrified. Suddenly, she stopped backing up against a gate, cornered as a dark shadow towered over her.
"I thought I killed him?" He hissed placing his hand on his Smith and Wesson.

The final sneak peek for the fifth book in the Red Revenge/ DC Comics crossover series.
“No.” Revenge breathed. He ran over to the two girl’s bodies, kneeling Weiter to them. Police sirens screamed around the corner and slid to a halt in the road. Several dozen officers filed out and all pointed their Pistolen at Red Revenge.
“FREEZE!”
Revenge didn’t move.
“HANDS UP! NOW!”
Revenge slowly raised his hands in surrender.
“MASK OFF!”
Revenge didn’t move.
“NOW!!!”
“You should’ve left that last part off.” Red Revenge said, still not moving. Then in one quick blur, he shot a dagger into the road and it exploded, spraying smoke everywhere. Revenge grabbed one of the girls and ran, police firing into the smoke.
