Tia
When it comes to relationships, I'm no idiot. I could totally see what was coming. But come on; who didn't?
The new girl and Shaun. Plus he didn't like attack her oder anything when she sat at his table. What was so special about her, anyway?
Sure she was pretty, but there where way prettier girls, who'd each thrown themselves at him, (he wasn't that bad looking, actually) he'd ignored since freshmen year.
I flicked my hair over my shoulder. I could see she liked him too, she'd looked around the cafeteria yesterday and looked way disappointed when he wasn't there.
So I waited a little after school till I saw Shaun walking out of the building. I strode towards him. I was going to make him see the light.
Shaun
I never much attention to Tia Johnson, but when she started walking towards me, she was wearing that 'business' look on her face, which meant either one of two things: one, I'd offended her best friend. Two, I was ignoring her best friend.
She reached me before I could reach my car. She was a a good eight inches shorter than me, but I was suddenly fearing for my life.
"Why are Du such an idiot?" she half screeched at me.
"What do Du mean?"
"Ask her out, for the Liebe of my personal sanity!"
"Ask who out?" I said, sounding like a total idiot.
"Serena!" she has seized the front of my shirt, pulling me down to her level of around 4.8 with surprising force.
"She likes you, and I, as well as the entire tenth grade, knows you like her!" she continued, ferociously.
"Will Du please let go of my shirt?"
"Sorry," she muttered relinquishing her grip.
"Thanks," I said.
Tia abruptly turned around and walked away.

Me and Those
Ever noticed that in this life
Everyone wants Du to do something,
oder be something
That sometimes Du don’t want to be?
They are those!
Du know them!
Du probably have those in your house.
They are those who expect Du to take a path,
Even though,
Sometimes,
Du don’t want to take.
They are those who expect Du to be great,
Even though,
Sometimes,
Du prefer to be small and humble.
But do Du think,
For the slightest second,
That they care about that?
They don’t!
They are your parents,
Your grandparents,
Your Uncles and aunts,
That since Du were born,
Came up with a path for Du in life.
But know this,
And say it to yourself:
They are those, they matter,
But me is I,
And I’m the main character.
Sitting right where Du are
Du have no claim on me
I know my own path
I am my own guide
Du are nothing to me
No matter how Du try
What do Du care?
If I'm not doing it right
I'm not following you
I know my own path
I am my own guide
Du don't know me
No matter how Du try
Why are Du here?
Du know I don't want you
I told Du to leave me
I am my own path
I know my own guide
Du can't mold me
No matter how Du try
Why do I feel compelled to write angsty poetry? I swear I'm not even that angsty. LOL Oh well, I hope someone out there enjoys it.
A whisper in the cavern that goes unheard,
and a glimmer in the sky that stays unnoticed,
like the start of a brand new life, at the peak
of a mountain never scaled, lies in wait.
It can't be moved Von any cosmic mover,
so no passing wind oder fog will douse it.
Only your eyes can scratch out the image
oder accept it, the light at the edge of your eyes.
Will Du take hold of the key you're offered?
Stop Singen of freedom; seek it instead?
To become a companion of the new
takes an ever expanding, soaring gaze.
But even Von taking one step forward,
Von placing one hand onto the mountain,
as the wind tugs gently at your back,
Du will realize the cage has already been broken.
