If Du could read the PERFECT book,what would Du Liebe it to include?

Oooh, the perfect book...hmmm...

It would need to have several things:

a) A good, strong, interesting, imaginative plot.

b) Deep, memorable characters who grow and develop over the course of the story; characters Du can truly cry and laugh and care about.

c) Excellent Schreiben and storytelling; smooth, attention-grabbing and well-crafted. Good dialog is extremely important, too.

(Twilight had none of the above, in my opinion. Sorry.) *cough*

d) A good mix of everything: action, adventure, humor, drama, mystery, and just a teensy dab of romance.

e) Positive oder thought-provoking themes and messages; ones that inspire Du and make Du think.

f) And last but not least, a good, strong, satisfying conclusion. Preferably a good twist oder a happy ending. =)

Mix ingredients well, bake until golden-brown, and voila! Du have the perfect book! =)

I think I already have... TWILIGHT!!!

The obvious things:
Compelling plot, 3D non-stereotypical characters, good style (I don't mind a bit of whimsy when it comes to style)...

Futhermore, specific things I Liebe in books:
*humor. Lots and lots of humor. Even when the world is about to end (literally! see Good Omens, one of my perennial faves)
*GLBTQ stuff. It's just something that I'm both interested in and is very personal to me, so I Liebe seeing it incorporated in books
*urban fantasy. I'm not a big Fan of Fantasy nor do I believe in spiritual nonsense, but I do Liebe a touch of the Supernatural in books.
*snarky dialogue. I know, I know, it gets too unrealistic if everyone talks in Buffyspeak, has great witticisms and comebacks, and makes awesome Popkultur references but I can't help but Liebe it.
*a touch of the bizarre. Again, see one of my faves: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. I think one of the most Zufällig series there is out there, but I Liebe the humor that's completely out of left field and the weirdness that happens in the Bücher ("Ford, you're turning into a penguin. Stop it.")

I mean, just those elements doesn't mean that it's a perfect book, but these are just things I enjoy in stories.

It would have a pinch of a lot of genres, (action, adventure, romance, humor, ect.), funny and well thought out characters, an AWESOME plot, and have a really cool twist that no body expects.

Death, blood, gore and kissing. But I've already read that. The Hunger Games.
