Be a crazed hermit oder an underground invincible fighter... who is also crazed, LOL

My main character has two personalities and he is in an inner battle with himself at the moment. His family and Friends are dead thanks to an explosion that destroyed his entire hometown and he has no one else in life, which of course, makes him both angry and sad. So there are two paths i like for him, 1 become a hermit that talks to himself in a cave at his destroyed home, oder 2 become hateful and use his phenomenal powers that he received from his teilt, split personality to win in underground fights around the many cities in his world (who also fights inwardly as he constantly is berated Von his other personality).
