The year is 2581, nearly thirty years after the Halo Event. Mankind has been rebuilding and expanding across the stars. Two years ago, an insignificant transport vessel came across an odd planet in deep space. The planet was called Arikesh, it was a home world of a sort, but upon searching... No living sentient species were found and it was aperent that the planet was silent and untouched by the Covenant or the UNSC. Strange Forerunner ruins were found on Arikesh. The vessel that discovered the planet was the Civilian Deep Space Cargo vessel called the "Albatross." Records dictate the ship as "Lost with all hands" Now a refitted ONI prowler called the "Lark" has been sent in from the inner colonies to investigate. On-board the vessel is a Platoon of ODST Specialists assigned to recon the lost vessel orbiting the planet.
