Edward was interested in her by the fact that he couldn't read her mind and that she smelled good. But why in the world would he care so much about her if she only smelled good. He loves her because of the person she is, the fact that she smelled good only got him to center his focus on her for a while. I think it is pretty clear how much he really loves her and something stupid as her smell doesn't make someone love the other one so much. XD

He only liked her coz of her smell. She was different to anything he had ever tasted or smelt so he could not stay away from her. Like he said a drug. Needing to be with her because she smelt tasty. Then Later he was like wow i like bella now. Not coz he her smell but coz of who she is. GAH!!! He is sick. They both are. I HATE BELLA!!!

nah he surely realized her by her smell but if he hadn't seen how loveable and nice and so on and so forth she really is he would have killed her

Hey may end up loving her for more than her smell or the fact that he can't read her mind but if those two things weren't true he wouldn't have paid any more attention to her in the first place than he did everyone else. If he could have heard her thoughts at first he would've heard similar things to what he heard in Jessica's mind and that repulsed him. So yes, in the end he loves her for more reasons, but that isn't what sparked his intial interest.
