I jumped to the side and Edward landed in the spot I was in before. He turned to me, his Gold eyes glittering. He stared at me before jumping at me again. I met him this time in mid air. We crashed together and fell to the ground but just before we landed I flipped round so he would receive the impact. We landed with a loud thud that probably shook the trees. I jumped backwards off him and crouched. When he stood up I flew at him, wrapping my legs around his marble chest. I held my hands on either side of his face and turned his head slightly.
I could break your neck.
Only if I don’t break yours first.
He gave me a devilish smile and with one fluid motion he lifted me off him and threw me to the ground. I landed lightly in a crouch which surprised him. I couldn’t find the best way to attack him as each plan I thought of he would know of. I tried to do the best that I could but it was no use when Du were up against a mind reader.
I was still crouching when he came at me again. I did two back-flips which surprised me as much as it did him but it put distance between us. I flashed him a smile.
Give up?
Never.
He advanced on me and I backed away – into a tree. He had me backed up against the tree.
This is when I bite you.
My herz hammered against my chest as he bent his head down. I felt his cold lips brush my neck just above the jugular vein. I moved hard and fast. I shoved all of my weight on him and he fell backwards with me on oben, nach oben of him.
No biting just yet.
He was just as fast as me. He rolled over and at the same time, tucked me under him. He held himself over me, not putting his full weight on oben, nach oben of me.
Are Du sure?
He bent his head down, his lips find that vein in my neck again. I was sure he could feel the blood pulsing beneath it.
I was trapped. I had no escape now that he was on oben, nach oben of me. He knew that he had won but for some reason he wouldn’t move. I knew he wasn’t actually planning on drinking my blood, I would hear it in his thoughts. There was another reason for this.
Surrender?
His eyes glittered, laughing at me.
Never.
I can wait here all day.
I refused to give up. I would think of a way out of this. I felt his cool breath on me and smell his sweet scent. He smelled of honey and lila, flieder which was rather distracting. His golden eyes watched all the time, waiting for me to make a move.
There’s no way out.
I didn’t answer. I had my way out. I lifted my right arm and placed it on his cold chest. With my left I knocked his right arm away from me. Before he had time to react oder fall I pushed him away him to the side. He landed Weiter to me and before he could get up I had a foot on his neck.
Surrender?
He grabbed my ankle and pulled me forwards. I never hit the ground because he caught me in his arms.
I think this is enough.
Don’t spoil my fun, Edward.
He chuckled and Weiter thing I knew I was pressed up against the tree, his teeth against my neck. His cool hands were locked around my wrists holding them to my sides. I think he had learned from before not to leave my hands loose.
I think I win now.
His cheek was against me and his scent was stronger this close up. His chest was pressed up against mine and we were that close together he could feel my herz beating against his chest. We had never been this close before and I wondered if he liked it just as much as I did. Even though his teeth were pressed against one of the most important veins in my body I had never felt safer than I did now, pressed up against his chest.
I let Du win.
He chuckled again, his breath on my neck making me blush.
He stepped back from me but I pulled him back, holding him against me, my head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and held me tighter.
Did I scare you?
Not at all.
Then why this?
I don’t know.
I knew I knew why. The answer was right in front of me, I just couldn’t see it. It was nagging at me in the back of my mind, shouting at me but I couldn’t hear it.
He let me go and stepped back. A strahl, ray of sun filtered through the leaves, just a feeble strahl, ray but it was enough to Zeigen me why Vampire never went out in the sun. Edward’s face glittered like a thousand diamonds covered his skin. I clapped a hand to my mouth. Edward was even Mehr beautiful in the sun. I didn’t think it was possible for him to be Mehr beautiful than he was but...
I stepped up to him and touched his face with my hand. I smiled. The sun faded, probably back behind another cloud.
He chuckled at my stunned face. His arms were around me again, holding me close, when my phone vibrated in my pocket. I was surprised that it hadn’t been broken. I pulled it out and looked at the caller id. Charlie.
“Hello?”
“Kayla, where are you?” Charlie sounded worried.
“I’m with Edward.” I answered.
I heard his sigh of relief.
“I thought Du were going home.”
“We decided to go for a walk in the woods.” I said, not telling the entire truth. We went in the woods, didn’t we?
“Ok,” Charlie said. “I just thought for a moment there that...”
“I’m fine. Be Home soon. Bye.”
I hung up on him.
Charlie.
I nodded.
I’ll walk back with you.
He took my hand and slung me onto his back and ran back to the edge of the wood. On both sides of me I saw nothing but a green blur. I had kept my eyes open the whole way and wished I didn’t. When he put me down I was slightly disorientated. He held me steady until I could balance properly.
He bent his head down and kissed me lightly on the cheek. I stood there dazed Von his kiss. I heard him chuckle before he drove away, leaving me confused.
